He doesn't
I really don't see why Slater is an automatic starter in the deep midfield role that Rosie has him playing.
Yes he has popped up with some vital goals on occasions but that's usually when he's drifted into a more advanced role.
In most games, I don't notice anything of noteworthy that Slater does other than short passes back to the defenders.
I also don't see the point of trying to get Tyler Morton in.
Is he really going to be that much better than Xavier?
Posted on a day when we're 2 places off the playoffs. Perhaps there's a new definition of 'near'.We won’t be anywhere near play-offs under Rosenior until it’s rectified.

You are 100% correctYou just don’t understand what a player like Slater does.

How much have you seen of Morton? I work at Ewood and as part of my role I was at most games last season, so got to see a lot of him and I would have him as a number 6 over Travis any day of the week. That’s the position he played at Liverpool but he can do both. He may not be quite ready to step into their first team but he’d be an amazing signing for us. I suspect that LR is looking to bring him in because of his versatility and I could easily see him replacing Seri as the deep playmaker because he can do that but can also tackle and break up play. No, someone else confirmed it to me. Decent player but not what we need in midfield.
100%. He would get in almost all championship sides in that deep midfield role. How much have you seen of Morton? I hope we don’t sign a defensive midfielder so Kalman can spend the rest of the season having melt downs, because he knows best apparently.
We’ll just 15th again and you and @Mckechnie Orange will look very silly as per usual.
