Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has joined Ipswich on a season-long loan.

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna knows Williams well from their time together at Old Trafford.

He brings a combative style to the Championship leaders, who have a 100% record from their opening three games.

"I played a lot of games when I broke through at United and have had a couple of tough seasons, too, so it’s good for me to get back out and start playing again," said the 22-year-old.

I now just try and remember the last page number I looked at when looking at this thread... If something has happened next time I check in, I know there will be an extra 10 pages... the handbrake has been on for a couple of days now... hopefully no news is good news..

My mate who’s a Grimsby fan was sat in front of Andy Smith and Brandon Fleming at Blundell Park recently. Fleming apparently wants to go out on loan again and Smith wants to be playing regularly as well.

He's in a spot really Fleming.... he's short of being good enough for this team IMO, but h's on a contract which likely pays him more than a team lower down the ladder would offer him... add to that its likely been made known he's available, but with a week to go there doesn't seem to be anyone fighting to get him.

Grimsby have a lot of interest in Glennon (we were at one point), so it’s not out of the question he could go there. He doesn’t want to be dropping any lower than that, he’s at least League Two level.

Smith wanted games in L1 and was wanted by Lincoln on loan. Rosenior was impressed during pre season and wanted him as back up to Jones. He's more than happy in that role this season.

I am actually quite a relaxed and laid back person and don’t take life (or this board) too seriously.

For some unknown reason language and formatting are my kryptonite!

I am the guy at the back of the room when my manager is making a presentation on an important subject, who will mutter

‘…could have centred that’.
I've recently joined a group on facebook called The Dull Mens Club.
If you're not already a member I reckon it will be right up your street. I cannot get enough of it!
