I'm more excited with it being a permanent as it means he's our player to develop and he'll be fully focussed on being here.
I mean very rarely unless a player is top standout against us do I see match threads go in depth about opposition players. I could probably pull it up from Norwich thread and find similar levels about Jason Rowe and he looks a class above.
Looking at stats is also not really providing the full picture. Longman for all his credit has been streaky at best. As others have mentioned some young players take time to develop in the championship. A permanent move probably helps Philogene. Scoring 5 in a pretty crap Cardiff team is good going plus he looks like he has something we sorely lack and even you acknowledged in the Blackburn thread is pace and the ability to take a man on.
He may turn out pants but he looks the business and Villa seeming gutted to let him go is a good litmus test
Im not by any means saying he’s a bad signing just not really sure what the over reaction when it was revealed yesterday is all about. Looks a decent signing that’s about it.

Well done for bringing some reality to the party, much the same this time last year when we were signing the next messi, ronaldo, players who had played in the premier league but were only emotionally challenged but Rosey would give them a shoulder to cry on, a sympathetic ear and rebuild their careers and if all else failed we bought them all cheap and would be able to move them on for a profit if by some minor miracle it didn't work out.
Genuine question, but what player that you think we could sign would excite you?
You mean like that bloke Aaron Connolly? Where's he ended up?
im surprised norton-cuffy hasnt got another loan yet
i think he was absolutely fantastic for coventry last season, top player
Think Twine is more technical, Philogene is more a bums off seat playerIt also doesn’t come close to overshadowing the Twine signing for me. Only the fact it’s a permanent, but Twine is definitely the more exciting in playing terms.

Happy with them both though. Think we’ll see the shape change soon

I think you will find i was one of the few who thought he was a good signing at the 1st time and before this season too.
The majority thought he was trouble and troubled, unfit and over weight. It must be some diet he was on for in one week he went from humpty dumpty to be the one who was fit enough to do the running in behind blackburns defence and getting two goals. Oh and if i remember they were both one on one with the keeper, when did we last have anyone that could put them away in that situation?
Coventry are trying to get him for another season.
So why are you mocking the signing?
What signing am i mocking? What i do find silly is the extreams, just like when we lose we are rubbish and going to get relegated but when we win we are going up. I am sure you will remember the hype over the signings this time last year and its happening again now even though we appear to be stuck with some of those from last year who turned out to be less than anticipated.
Ipswich and Stoke in for Philogene apparently
