But they've got players who are so superior to ours in terms of technical ability, coaching and aptitude. Plus they've got numerous out balls and runners. Last night our midfield and forwards could have been Madame Tussauds wax works.

There's your problem then.

No system is gonna work when that's the case.

Also, we aren't trying to be man city.

Swansea play a similar style, Cov got to the playoff final with it and they don't have hugely superior players in all their faculties as you seem to suggest is needed.

Blunts just announced Vini Souza, pretty sure we were linked with him last season. One of the best ball winners in Europe last season…

Was on loan at Espanyol from some second-tier Belgian team that’s part of the City Group, but yeah, he’s quality.

You look at some of the defensive midfielders we were linked to last summer that never came off like Vinicíus Souza, Ndayishimiye etc. and where they are now and realise how badly we ****ed it in that position.

Could this be the English talent we were after?

They sold Sander Berge today.

Seems we aren't the only ones operating a sell to buy policy or have had to wait for the market.

Now Berge has gone to Burnley, perhaps that has a knock on effect on them making someone available and so on?

Have you ever heard of him. If not, don’t sweat it. All the top Premier League teams have decent u21 squads. You will drive yourself to torment if you think each one offered up for loan going to a rival club is someone we wanted to sign and have missed out on.

Process of elimination suggests not.

Bird is the deep lying midfielder that we know we're after.

Were after a GK, 2 wingers and a 10.

I suspect the English talent is one of those, but not the GK.

What makes you think that?
Destined for the big things, apparently one of the best ever to come through Hale End.

Capped at all England youth levels and eventually senior team if he keeps on developing. Going off what Arsenal fans say, he's the missing link in the England team due to his creativity.

Just wondered if he was the 10 we’ve been trying for cause he fits the bill for one of England’s most important up and coming talent whatever the quote was.

Edit: And he’s been on loan in the champ previously but for Blackpool, Arsenal want him at a club playing a certain way such as Swansea or us

He's not really a 10 though. Sits deeper.
