Can't imagine Bournemouth is his preferred destination if, as reported previously, the geography was a key factor. Even less so if they want him as a number 2 keeper.

Problem for him is, no Championship club not in receipt of parachute payments is going to pay £5m. I did wonder whether the price might come down towards the end of the window, perhaps they'd agree to another loan, and we'd reignite our interest. Be interesting to see whether the Bournemouth move happens.

Looks more likely than not. And money talks. Very few players would turn down a PL move for a championship one regardless of location.

Similarly, Newcastle aren't gonna be loaning him out to a championship club if there's a prem club willing to meet the asking price.

I find it strange that Darlow has gone on Newcastle’s tour in the US. Seems to have been close to Bournemouth for days so didn’t think he would have gone, yet now rumoured to be flying back less than 24hrs after arriving.

It's a fantastic uplift and there's still a few weeks before the start of the season.

Even the current numbers should mean we don't see less than 17k on a match day which is some increase on 18 months ago

Depends how many of those new members were paying walk up prices last year or not.

But yeah, it seems to be going in the right direction.

If we're in and around top 6 by the end of the season then we'll probably get the coveted 18k members

Have to agree a sensible post.

May sound a stupid question but do membership cards just continue to the next season if you don’t change seats?
I was half expecting to get issued a new card for the upcoming season

For a reason they didn't explain, and I didn't ask, those that pay up front get a new card. Whether I use it though is another matter. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

I saw a thing about him the other day about how bad his childhood was. It’s not such a surprise he lost his way but still has time to find his feet again and reignite his career but it’s a last chance saloon. He needs to be in the premier league though IMO.

He’ll go to Watford
