To clarify, I'm pointing out there are multiple reasons it could happen, and listed one, money laundering, and another, circumventing FFP. You expressed incredulity at how money laundering could happen or why.

I was never confident with him at free kicks though, to the point I just knew Santi Cazorla was going to score. I remember not minding too much about the result that day because we did so well to get there and put in a great performance in the final but the more I look back the more I realise it was perhaps the only opportunity we will have in my lifetime to win something.

The thinking is we need 2 decent championship keepers to withstand a full.campaign.

Doesn't really ring true given Pelkas was a loan and Ali a try before you buy. Only one we paid an upfront fee to fenerbache for was Ozan and he was less than they'd agreed with watford the year before. Hardly inflated fees.
