I wouldn’t have thought LR would have played him in all of those consecutive games if he wasn’t planning on him being part of the first team squad. I can’t imagine that would have a positive effect on Vaughn.

Guess we'll find out. I doubt he'd have started all those games if we had a fit striker though. I struggle to see how it'd be positive for the kid not getting many minutes when the squad is more balanced and complete at the end of the summer, as I'm sure is the aim.

He wasn't playing as a striker so he probably would of still played?

Maybe, given he started wide ahead of Pelkas, Longman and Malcolm but then I'm not sure it was the plan that 2 of them would end up going back and they will be replaced; but I think we'd probably have accommodated Traore wide and dropped Tufan in the hole instead of that 442 ish formation if either Benji, Oscor or Connolly were fit. If Simms were even fit he might have been playing instead of Vaughan.

I'm not trying to take away from the lads achievement as he's been admirable, but I think with a fully fit and newly upgraded squad he's not envisaged to be a regular starter just yet.

That's not to say the sky isn't the limit for the lad, just he's work in progress.

I’d keep him here at least until January, and if he can’t get a look in then think about loaning him out. Loans fail more often than not and he would develop better here even if that is largely playing bit parts off the bench. He has all the attributes and despite being small doesn’t get bullied at all, has bags of energy too and doesn’t look out of his depth in the championship whatsoever. Can see him having a good solid part to play next season.

You see I did think he got bullied a bit by the more physical fullbacks, especially at Luton.

He's gonna grow and bulk out though so it's not a long term concern, but if we can send him to L1 as a boy and get a man back this time next year then surely it'd be no bad thing.?

Don't know what his contract is off the top of my head, but I'd assume we have an option over til June 25 so I'd agree we don't need to rush into a decision. As we all know **** happens in football and he might be needed when new signings inevitably trip over cones on the first day of preseason etc...

Anyone know where this '14m budget' quote came from that Ozan Northgraves was on about on his pod?

Only thing I can find is that Acun saying he could 'put in 13-14m' to cover running costs but that was just the most recent one of his increasingly regular unfairness of FFP rants.

Vaughan needs to be playing, I think he’s a real talent but I don’t think he’s at the level where he’s ready to be a regular yet

He's only been with us just over 3 months and his rise has been substantial. We need 4 wingers realistically next year and there's no reason he shouldn't be one of those.

He's still so young and played plenty of games for someone his age. 1500 minutes next year would be great and there's no reason why he can't get those with us

Think that many minutes for us might depend on cup runs and the injury situation.

Though he could play every game in a full season for the right L1/L2 side.

Why? It's a long season we need a squad and we don't know who we're bringing in yet. Ebiowei was meant to improve us significantly but he didn't.

Bowen's overall game in his debut season really wasn't great but as he was such a lethal finisher that got glossed over. Even last season KLP's overall game was still lacking in areas too

We've sent Cartwright out twice to L1 clubs this year and he's not played a single minute in the league, so let's be realistic.

It's as clear as day that he needs to be with Rosie

Agreed, but we've improved overall on quality on last season and both those examples are exceptions to the rule.

Young Harry might be one of those but its going to take an awful lot for him to punch in with 6-8 touted additions focussed largely on forward areas.

So. Sonny Bradley, 31 years young.

I know it's an ex player thing and would only be interested in Curtis - reserve registration and a coaching role but Bradley could tick some boxes, no?

How many wingers are you expecting us to sign?
