Think Rosie mentioned about having robustness for his players, if this is the case the reoccurring toe injury to Connolly may be a bit off-putting despite what he offers us.

Be interesting to see which direction we go given that statement, and the potential incoming and outgoing players.

I got the impression it was a salute to the fans knowing he ain't gonna play again this season.

Like most things it might be black or white but there may be a bit of negotiation to be had.

We have a valuation. Brighton have one also.

He's on a fortune and still got a year left on his current deal. We won't be paying that so he'll be wanting a payoff from Brighton. They can't really ask for any initial transfer fee, and they seem to want rid of him but they'll want add-ons and a decent sell-on clause. There's plenty to negotiate and that's if we want to sign him permanently

Yep, it's the same as Darlow. If everyone got their way they'd be back here tomorrow, but who knows what'll happen so of course the players will farewell the fans without knowing for sure they'll be back.

There's loads of time and I'd be really surprised if they both didn't get done. I aren't really sure where Connolly would end up if it wasn't for us too

Oh, I absolutely agree. no way he's signing for a fee and 25k.

Same with Pelkas on 32.k

Neither would be sustainable on their current contracts based on overall contribution.

If we can get in now, Alfredo Morelos is available on a free. He’s a proper ****house striker, he’d have to check his attitude on the pitch because he gets sent off quite a lot.

Ryan Kent also available. Kent has been linked with Fenerbahce, could get him on loan maybe if Acun can work a little magic.

this from ChatGPT
A holding midfielder is a player whose primary role is to provide defensive cover in front of the back line, and to break up opposition attacks by intercepting passes, making tackles, and pressuring opposing players who have possession of the ball. They are often referred to as defensive midfielders or "number six" players.

Holding midfielders typically play in a central position in the midfield, and their main objective is to protect the back four and prevent the opposing team from creating scoring opportunities. They are also responsible for distributing the ball to their teammates, often through short, accurate passes.

In addition to their defensive duties, holding midfielders may also provide a link between the defense and the attacking players, by carrying the ball forward and initiating attacking moves. They are often strong, physical players who possess good positional awareness, tactical intelligence, and the ability to read the game.

Examples of great holding midfielders include Sergio Busquets, N'Golo Kante, and Claude Makelele.

Regenerate response

No Ashbee in that list of examples :emoticon-0100-smile

That wouldn't do for Rosenior. He wants his team to do it 'the right way' whatever that is.
