Where did I say he brought nothing?

I said he didn’t have a special skill that needs replacing, he scored poacher goals. For example, if we lost Delap we would need to replace him due to his great hold up play that’s essential for our current style of play.

You don't think a striker that scores approx 1 in 2 needs replacing? I'm willing to bet with you we have nobody else in the team that returns that this season

Since the window’s officially over now and we’ve done all our business, do I have permission to say I still think it’s disappointing?

I'm annoyed at how light we've left things up front given all the talk from Acun about focussing on strengthening there, but everything else we've done is class.

That's not what I asked though. What about when you want to start Oscar and he can score goals?
But we haven’t been starting him :emoticon-0102-bigsm his role this season would’ve been to come on after Delap has run into the ground, and he’d be behind Connolly also.

No idea if Rocket Morton is any good. I have seen him play but can remember **** all about him.

I am sure that if we keep everyone fit, we're in a better place than last year.

But the striker situ really smacks of stupidity.

I support the regime, but some faith has been lost on my part this window.

Rosenior on Morton
For us to capture a player of Tyler’s pedigree and potential, again fighting off a lot of competition, I’m absolutely over the moon.

He played at a high level last season in a team in Blackburn that just missed out on the play-offs. He’s played in the Champions League, Premier League and in cup games for a top club in Liverpool.

The fact Liverpool and Tyler believe Hull City is the best place for him to continue his development says a lot about the direction we’re moving in as a football club.

Tyler has everything I like in a midfield player. He’s brave and has got unbelievable technical quality, which is important for the way we play. He can see a pass, has a great football brain, understands the game with his defensive positioning and is aggressive.

He was our first choice and we’ve had to wait a long time to get it done but I’m delighted it’s finally happened.

I’ll take you up

He was already replaced with Delap

I think that's a decent window, but probably leaves us short of enough for top 6.

Defence and midfield looking better than last season - as are the wingers. Not sure we have enough up front, but we haven't lacked scoring yet so far this season.

On the whole, I'm happy.

Same. I wasn’t bothered about us getting Rak-Sakyi or not. In fact, I’d be less bothered about Philogene falling through than I am about Óscar going with no replacement.

Morton isn’t a terrible fit for the midfield but one loose game where we are light in the midfield and I’m gonna hit the roof

I’ll take you up on that bet, Connolly will score for fun this season

What could you possibly be basing this off other than hope and the fact he's bagged a lucky goal against Sheff Weds and an (admittedly) good brace against Blackburn? The guy has scored something like 11 goals in his career and 5 of those have been with us!
