Doubt that. They signed Yates to replace Piroe at the start of the summer and from what I've read they've got plenty of forwards.
Just think we look a much better prospect.
Gotta be honest here, not seen Davis play and hadn't even heard of him before our interest was revealed, but its suggested he is an older version of young Delap, perhaps with a bit more wool on his back. If this is the case I'm not gonna worry too much if he decides his future lies with Swansea, good luck to the lad . What I am excited about is getting a winger in who is direct, and offers something from wide areas, I'm hoping that Philogene fills that berth.
Yates replaced Obafemi, Yates and Piroe start up top together. If they have plenty of forwards why would they be after Davis?
And we're talking about having him replace Oscar, who is currently a bench option. Swansea would be replacing Piroe, a starter. Just don't think I'd be shocked if he went to Swansea.

Pretty insane statsYeh, we need improve in getting our attacking players on the ball in better areas. Delap has helped with this but I see Davis as someone who could make a massive difference so I really hope we push this one through.
By all accounts we have agreed the fee and personal terms with Davis. So it is quite far along. Seems just waiting on his decision now.
Thing with stats is it depends how you read them.

Typically you can agree personal terms and still sign for someone else if you're waiting on a fee being agreed. We've agreed a fee. If we've agreed a fee and personal terms, he'd be signed.
If he has wool on his back he's definitely going to Swansea.
The fee and personal terms have been agreed though. Swansea have just come in at the 11th hour after receiving the cash to do it probably from their Piroe sale. Up to him now. I imagine we will need to give some guarantees of playing time

A player can agree on personal terms with multiple clubs then make a decision on which he wants to sign for. Agreed and sign are very different things
