Not at all. There is no clambering from other clubs to sign Slater. There’s a reason for that. Happy for him to warm our bench though

Suspect he'll be doing a bit more than that.

Considering Cannon got game time for us this season it's not a stretch to see slater involved next. Especially now he's added a bit of end product to be fans player and players player of the season.

No one plays that role in the team because we don’t have one.
If we did have one, someone would have to make way. It wouldn’t be Seri or Traore

Do you understand how a squad works and that someone like Seri won't be able to play every game next season? Traore didn't play his first game for us until February ffs. Slater was value because of his ability to play almost any position across the midfield.

Buy a couple of players who are proven at this level at scoring goals and we will finish Top 6. Forget recruiting players from abroad on free transfers who can’t handle the rigours of the Championship.
Our injury record this season is ridiculous.

Can’t see Slater being a key player next season, he’s had a very good year this year, the first question is can he carry on the form and improvement into next year. The second question is would he actually have a place in a first 11 with a properly rounded and balanced squad?

He’s an all round player, alright at everything but doesn’t really have any particular standout quality. Also, for the kind of busy body all rounder he is, he does still go quiet and missing too much. Take for instance a David Meyler or George Honeyman who you could count on giving a solid 7/10 performance 90-95% of the time, Slater would IMO be more 60-65%.

That’s not to say he won’t still play a big part for us but I just don’t see him being one of the first names on the team sheet and will become more of a depth option than first choice.

Managers favourite... I suspect he'll be on of the first on the team sheet , deserved out not..

Out of the players heavily linked in January, how many can you see us going back in for?

Toffolo, Curtis Davies (as experienced back up), Conrad De La Fuente, Ryan Fraser, Max Bird? Any others that I have forgotten about that are realistic?

Don't see Davies as a feasible option. Liam said something about maybe revisiting Conrad shortly after the Jan window closed.
