I saw mention last week, might have been WoL or somewhere else, that BBM was interested in signing a young keeper from Man City he knew from his time there.

A bit odd after Trott's form and the other keeper we signed recently. The Man City lad is very highly rated but only 3rd or 4th in the pecking order so any first team opportunities are very limited. Unlikely he would want to be no.3 with us.
BBM has IMO got to get out of this no keeper on the bench ploy. I know he said he does not like doing it but surely he can sort out 6 outfielders on the bench, it can’t need 7 at the expense of potential disaster of Trott got injured in a game.

He'll leave a keeper out but have 2 CBs on the bench.<doh>

Article from Wycombe's boss praising Wintle.

It also says the contracts of Wintle, Ng and Bagan are up this summer with no talks yet.

So, try to keep them or let them go? I would keep all 3 if possible. Their experience will be vital in the Championship, I hope!!!

Agree. I think all three can do a job in the Championship now that we play football.

Yep. Get them signed up.

Whatever division we’re in next season the most essential signings will be wingers, a CB and a striker. If BBM continues to play this down the flanks style then he’ll need better and quicker wingers and strikers.

Too often we’ve conceded soft goals due in no small part to our CB’s not being big and strong enough. That would ask help our goal threat from set pieces.

Also is it time to give Trott a rest as he’s just not authoritative enough with crosses. Ok he’s a superb shot saver but that won’t be enough in a higher league.

So, now we have a style of play that suits us and we've had a season to get a look at what we have, ins and outs come to the fore.
If (when) we go up, Trott becomes a permie. We've also got Tyrer and Turner, so keeper should be sorted.
For some, I hope I have the contract details right. Im sure someone will correct me.
Ng and Bagan need tying down. Kpakio covers RB, need another LB.
CB seems sorted unless its one in, one out.
At six we need Wintle extended. If Dak doesnt make the grade, which I think he will, we need another at six.
8 seems well stocked with Robertson, Turnbull and Colwill jnr. At 10 we have Colwill Snr. Is Jnr adequate cover or do we need another? Id suggest another with jnr covering 8 and possibly 6. Salech up front but needs cover.
Then its the wide players. Several that 'do a job', but not really someone who nails a place down and gets bums off seats. Tanner came back with a string of assists, Willock looks more like we hoped for, then Ashford and Davies who have done well in patches.

1 or two from the accademy, 1 or two signings for cover with 1 or two upgrades meaning 1 or 2 out.
There's also King to come back.

Still not sure what we do with Robinson given he's a bit part player. He gets some goals though.

Hopefully, BBM and the players will be building from a higher base in pre-season than last summer both in fitness and style.
Last year was revolution, this year evolution.

Dont even want to think about a change in management. <yikes>

I’m going to be banging the drum for a Morisson type at CB, a LB with pace, 2 wingers one a Hoilett type the other a NML type plus a striker to replace Robinson.

To compete in the Championship from watching games this season City will need to have an input of more physical and quicker players with more goal threat from set pieces.

Your last point Nin. A threat, any threat from set pieces. We have none.

Oh for the days of Hudson, Morrison, Flint, Bamba and even Caulker.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us looking for replacements for Lawlor and Rubin Colwill. Despite extending their contracts, I see that as a tactic to get a transfer fee for them rather than see them leave for nothing like Joe Ledley.
If they get top dollar I wouldnt begrudge either a move.
Lawlor could probably do with another season of regular football though. Sale and loan back?
Rubin is getting to the age where he needs to step up or accept we're his level.
