Mate of mine who goes to a lot of games in Belgium, reckons Adem Zorgane is the one to watch out for, sys he had a blinder in the Brussels derby, I've never heard of him mind.
Had mentioned him and Titraoui last summer when they were still at Charleroi, tbh they were quite a similar duo to what we can now see with xhaka and sadiki where Zorgane set the tempo and Titraoui was the energy and ball winning around him.

Definitely still be up for them both but might need someone else to leave, would be a lot of midfielders - so maybe just Zorgane.

There was an interesting article in The Times today about Curtis Jones. Saying he is now 25 and coming into the last year of his contract at Liverpool. He has slipped down the order for their midfield so he might be thinking about moving on to get more game time. Spurs were interested in him but if they go down that will be the end of that. One of the Milan clubs as well so won’t be easy to pick him up. Could he be Xhaka’s understudy?

Behave man.

He cost them like £70million.

We could and should have a look at Gabri Veiga at Porto he’s quality annd easier for us to pick up from Portuguese league.

He can play 8 or 10 and is superb on the ball.
Gabri Veiga as a replacement for Granit Xhaka? And you’re telling me to behave.

Zubimendi cost Arsenal 55m. That’s roughly what Newcastle paid for Wissa. So if we are basing it on price tags, are you suggesting that Wissa would also be out of our reach if we were interested?

The story was that we agreed to let Geertruida go to them if Curtis Jones came the other way. Either they or he said no, so no deal.

I'd love to see us in for John Stones. Wages might be a stumbling block though.

Talking to me Dad yday and i cant see the 3 teams to come up to get in a Xhaka type person,

Could be wrong like,

also I think we just got our approach right, and Leeds to some point.

And if we can get Xhaka when we are newly promoted, who can we get when we are not!

Who mentioned replacing Xhaka?

Veiga is a lot more attack focused he’s been playing mainly as a 10 for last 3 years.

Xhaka would remain behind him.

Any player of his profile will instantly be linked or will go to Aston Villa imo. Would be quality for us mind.

Tin hat on but I’m not sold on Jones personally.
Agreed and it's hard to explain why. He's a bit part player at Liverpool and I don't think he would thrive in a main role at a club like us.

Just doesn't have enough about him to be as influential as someone like Le Fee imo.

Agreed. Doesn't seem capable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck like you would expect him to be doing as a Liverpool player.

I’d be wanting better than him and I’m sure he’d believe he could do better than us if he left Liverpool. I’m sure he’d get a good move as well.

I wonder if he looks at the way things have unravelled for Harvey Elliot at Villa and decides to give it another year at Liverpool.
