So, we need 11 new players, where do we start? :emoticon-0130-devil
I'm taking last nights game as a once in a lifetime event, certainly the worst home defeat that I've been to.

Sell off those out on loan who aren’t at Premier level
Buy more quality players
CB, RW, Xhaka replacement young un, Striker.
Plus replacement for whoever leaves from current starters & finishers.

I reckon a new centre back and left back to replace Geertuida and Cirkin, a Xhaka alternative, a new winger and another striker (replace Isidor). Thats just 5 new signings on the face of it.

Players i think we need;
A player to step in for or sit deep by Xhaka, another,2nd, good competitive holding player
-another option at left back, maybe a bit stronger going forward for Cirkin
- a second left cb for competition - i think this means 09 goes though, Lucumi?
- one better winger to replace Traore, who i like but we need fit players
- a better quality replacement for Isidor, maybe even Mayenda dare i say

In 5 or 6

Out
Patterson
09 if he wants games (hate saying that mind)
Gerty
Cirkin
Traore
Mundle
Isidor
Mayenda (maybe a uk loan)
Adingra

We could do with some homegrown lads.
We sure could mate. Tough to buy at a level that’s better than what we have though.

I can’t think of any English lads realistically that we can go and get that’s a marked improvement.

Not saying they don’t exist (Gibbs-White a prime example last night of someone who’d be immense for us) but that they are pricey or not quite achievable yet.

Maybe we could look at people like Rico Lewis who city don’t fancy, but he’s not near to Nordi level.

You’ve got Elliott maybe, could swap him for Damsgaard off my list, Damsgaard is a way better player currently (but also almost impossible for us to buy)

Beyond the likes of Wilson at Fulham my knowledge isn't great on who fits the bill for homegrown players with quality who could be available.
Aye it so tough.

Wilson is going Villa for CL football anyway.

We could look at people like Cresswell or Harwood-Bellis but are they getting ahead of Omar and Dan? Probably not.

I do think there’s a risk Omar goes, not because he will especially want to but because big Spanish clubs will be keen.

Don’t think it’s a freak event. We weren’t at it and got put to the sword very effectively. Mix of a lack of premier league experience where every team can turn you over, and a lack of competition from the bench so if you aren’t 100% on it you know you won’t be in the team next game. Get the summer right and it will go a long way to preventing a repeat.

Leeds United should be turning their attention towards Sunderland’s Dennis Cirkin in their search for a new left-back this summer.

The West Yorkshire outfit are keen to add an alternative option to Gabriel Gudmundsson to their left side for next term, and appear to be considering cost-effective options to bring in an understudy to the Swede.

They have been heavily linked with a move for Matt Targett alongside Everton of late, with the Middlesbrough loanee expected to depart Newcastle United as a free agent this summer.

Targett has been a standout performer in the Championship this term, but Daniel Farke and Co. should also be considering a move for Cirkin, who was a thorn in the side of his team in their promotion campaign.

Regis Le Bris admitted that he doesn’t know where the 24-year-old’s future lies on Thursday, and that should be enough for him to feature in Leeds’ transfer plans ahead of his contract expiring this summer.

They’ll then need another left back to cover Cirkin’s cover

Seems to be a West Midlands thing - Birmingham were going to sign him before apparently.

It was actually baffling the confidence some of their fans had that it was happening. He had just knocked back some pretty big teams to sign his first pro contract at the club, but I saw numerous comments from their fans saying if they wanted him we would be powerless to stop them! Basically convinced it was such a big move to such a big club the player would force the deal through! The same lad who rejected Man Utd to sign here!
