Read this yesterday and Cirks and it shows how deeply the lads at the club connect.Dunno if posted elsewhere, but dont really care tbh, can never have too much of Luke O'Nien.
His post re. Cirkin....What a bloke man, had me choked.
You just know thats coming from the heart.

Surprised we didn’t do more to keep Dennis but given the quality of our recruitment over the past 12 months we can’t be critical and let’s see what we are bringing in this summer. You must log in or register to see media

Dennis Cirkin…
People that tuned into Sunderland this season for the first time in years, didn’t see the best of Cirkin.
11 games missed with injury, 73 in the last 4 seasons… he’s been consistently let down by his body.
But when fit, he was a crucial part of our ascent from League 1.
It’s players like Cirkin that made Europa League football on Wearside possible, and they won’t be forgotten.
If he can stay fit, someone is signing a top player. Good luck to him!
Cirkin's a quality player but the club has been commendably good at not giving in to sentiment.Surprised we didn’t do more to keep Dennis but given the quality of our recruitment over the past 12 months we can’t be critical and let’s see what we are bringing in this summer.
He’s some bloke O Nien. We must keep him as a coach in the future. Imagine him with the academy kids.Read this yesterday and Cirks and it shows how deeply the lads at the club connect.
It’s brilliant to see. As I said in the other thread it’s a real shame for Cirks. Had he stayed fit I’ve little doubt he’d have developed to a level.
There are no words for Luke. He’s as red and white as anyone of us he feels it all. Adopted Mackem doesn’t cover it. ‘Morphed Mackem’ maybe.
