Wilson is a good signing

Not like they’ve done this with their entire 11

They also now have a 30m asset on their books if they go down

Just 29, proven player and someone who shone when Fulham played up here

Good business

I think the plan this coming season is to cement our place in the PL and not be involved in a basement squabble. It seems like we are spending wisely for accounting purposes until the new ground expansion is complete and that will then enable us to spend more. I can see Tanaka and or Gruev being sold, we need to get Harrison off the books, we could do with selling Dan James too

We do have three academy players who might progress, if we do get Charles for around £20m and then Brandt and Wilson on a free, that is great business (despite me feeling Charles is a luxury) and leaves us £50 to spend still.
Yeah I mean promotion gives plenty of headroom for a couple years as you've outlined, you have to start getting more savvy after that but no problem starting early.

Obviously to reiterate I think you're doing pretty good business but there should start to be a bit variation too with the age profiles. Id imagine you will.

Hopefully learned a lesson last time around when we found season two harder

Couple of interesting transfer moves going on at the minute, no SAFC related

Chalobah on the move from Chelsea - Top quality player

Chelsea looking to replace him with Lacroix from Palace - Another top signing took time to adjust to the prem but not many better about atm

Real Madrid excersizing the option to buy back Nico Paz for less than 10m euros then trying to flog him for around 60m - Absolute joy to watch eager to see where he ends up

Chalobah will replace Lacroix at Palace, nailed on.

Be done as 2 deals to fiddle PSR.

Paz is unreal. He could end up anywhere. I’d wager Real insert a buyback again.

rumoured going to Como

Is there a world where Paz stays at Real Madrid?

He looks champions league quality. Maybe they keep him?
If it had been Mourinho's second season I would of said maybes - But with him going for experienced players and signing Bernardo and stating Bellingham is his 10 in a 4231 id say no

Not to mention Mastantuono is there

Just saw a sunderland page post a barca outlet saying we are looking at Ferran Torres - seems ambitious

There is talk of them selling Ferran Torres to finance a deal for Julian Alvarez. Still, very ambitious if it's us that gets him.

Fair

I'm not sure I really see Sunderland looking at high-cost free agents because they drastically raise the average wage in the squad.

#SAFC's are happy to pay extraordinary wages, Xhaka proves that, but only for extraordinary contributors.

The rest are very carefully controlled and there is genuine caution within the club about squad costs ballooning and threatening sustainability and choking growth.

That's a key reason, I suspect, why the Geertruida deal is proving such a difficult one for the club to resolve, because he's a big earner at RB Leipzip.

We should clearly just go for Alvarez instead. No need to go for the diet option. Just sell a car parking space to someone for £500m and buy him before SCR comes in.
