Its real scratch your head stuff. I just dont get the Ayew fixation from the club.

He's a decent solid pro who will put a shift in, close down defenders and is also decent at linking up play - real problem is that we need (another) prolific goalscorer ... and he has never been that ...

We also need someone who will hold the ball up and relieve the pressure on the defence. He 'wins' loads of free kicks - we could have done with him in the first half on Monday night.

Looks like we're signing Jordan Ayew for around £8 million ...
Like most I'm a bit underwhelmed by this prospect.
However, if we do sign him, I'll give the lad the benefit of the doubt and see how he gets on.
Mainly, as we've done some very underwhelming business in the past which has turned out to be great. And we've all looked right idiots*

*Yes, I probably do still have a post somewhere moaning we'd signed Vardy instead of Maynard <laugh>

Yes! and i was one of the idiot's who said after his first season said we should sell him to West Brom for £5 million
<doh><doh><doh>

Great window. Edouard still not guaranteed but if he comes in think it could be a side now capable of getting the required results. happy that a lot of the academy have got loans. Also think its a great move loaning Cannon instead of selling. Vardy can't go forever and the little I have seen of Cannon makes me believe he could be the right guy to step up. Alves staying also suggests he has a part to play in the first team. Roll on Villa.

DONE DEAL - Leicester complete Edouard loan from Crystal Palace

Leicester have beaten the deadline to sign Odsonne Edouard on loan from Crystal Palace.

The striker moves to the King Power Stadium for the rest of the season to boost Steve Cooper's firepower.

He said: "There’s a fantastic squad here and I’m confident that the team has what it takes to be successful. I’ll be working hard to make sure I do everything I can to support my team and to show the fans what I can do on the pitch.”

Hoped we'd sign him when Rodgers was in charge ... but hasn't quite set the Premier League alight ... hopefully will now!

Loaned a few out:

Ben Nelson - Oxford Utd
Tom Cannon - Stoke
Brandon Cover - Port Vale
Chris Popov - Barrow
Brad Young - Hartlepool
