I wonder if we are monitoring Sturridge’s situation. Rodgers got the best out of him before, if we could keep him fit (we do seem to do well with this) he could be worth a short deal to provide an alternative to Vardy. Would need to be a cheap deal though so I guess as the European window gets to an end he may be available cheaper (I know he’s a free agent but the agent wouldn’t be able to claim as much in wages and his own fee if they’re looking like he won’t have a club).

Sincerely hope it works out well for him. Glad he wasn't sold as he deserves to end his playing days as a City player. Whatever happened to testimonials? This guy deserves one.
 
Rodgers has said everyone in the squad knows where they stand and Adrien Silva is one of them who is looking for a new club

Cheap bastards. We just paid them nearly £40M. They should give us that back and we will send them both Slimani and Silva. They can also refund our £12M for Rachid Ghezzal

I don't think he ever really wanted to come to the club, and I can't see him putting any effort into his game even if we did play him now. Another poor foreign purchase, I'm afraid.
 
‘DANIEL STURRIDGE has signed for Trabzonspor after being released by Liverpool.

The former England striker, 29, has signed a contract worth £27,000-a-week after tax and agreed a £1.8million signing-on fee with the Turkish side.’

Shame injuries caught up with him as i genuinely think he was one of the best England strikers since the ‘golden generation’. A class finisher in front of goal who was great for the country. I know injured caught up with him but on paper that sounds like a cracking deal. You wouldn’t even get a league 1 striker these days on those wages and a signing on fee that low!

He'd have definitely been worth’s punt on that deal! As long as it wasn’t a stupidly long contract
