You will get 15-20 games a season from Sturridge at best. He hasnt been decent for years now at Liverpool. Klopp has never trusted him

He was pigging awful when he was at West Brom

Brendan got Sturridge performing to a level that he hasnt managed to find since. He scored goals on his own and with Suarez during that time but since he is a sick note

And maybe Sturridge didnt fancy coming here to play 2nd fiddle to Vardy

I think another problem is he is very similar style of striker to Iheanacho. Like Gray its make or break season for Iheanacho.

****ing stupid. We have paid them over £50M in the last year for Ghezzal and Tielemans

And theres us loaning them players. Slimani I understand as we just want his wages off the books but Silva we should have made them buy him

I’ll be wages, our fault for putting them on big contracts and wages making them impossible to move on. There’ll probably be a loan fee but clubs haven’t been fighting over either of them so a permanent move would probably not happen and shipping them on loan is preferable to keeping them around not playing
 
No club is going to commit to 3 years plus contracts for either of them at their age and nowhere near the wages we are paying them.

Monaco are probably the only club that can afford to take on their wages season by season, so expect them both to be loaned out until their contracts expire.

One player who wont be leaving is Matty James. He has an achilles injury... again

“Some way off” to returning according to Brendan

Really feel for the lad but has to come a point where he has to think about his life over his career. His body cant keep going through this and he will have lasting effects on his body effecting his everyday life eventually

Best thing for his life would be to keep going till his contract runs down wouldn’t it?

Even I’ve probably given up after hearing that...

No idea why we gave him a new 4 year contract in 2017 - was out for 2 years at that point.
 
Malaga have cancelled Shinji Okazaki’s contract

La Liga blocked his registration due to his wages taking them over the salary cap. They tried all window to get players off the books to allow Okazaki to be registered and failed so ripped his contract up
 
Diabate has signed for Amiens on loan

Just waiting for the FFF to confirm they received the paperwork in time to confirm the deal
 
Wondered if we had any business done yesterday, shame about Okazaki, don't think he'll have a problem finding another club though.

Not sure but even if we do. We cant recall them until January which is when you can change your 25 man squad anyway

It was bizarre including James 12 months ago as it meant King sitting around doing nothing

Its bizarre not including him now as we basically have 2 free spaces. Might aswell have put him and the kit man in rather then 2 players who arent even at the club

The fact that BR trusts players hes already sent out on loan rather than someone whos sitting in the physio room speaks volumes.

Will likely be loaned out as soon as hes fit enough and will run his contract down.
