Sorry, don't understand your point?
The point being, it's a lot of money to get a player you've never heard of?

A lot of talk about using Sunderland as a blueprint to stay up, them signing Granit Xhaka was the best thing they did.
Is there any ex prem midfielder that's getting on a bit but that we could go for? I think the experience in midfield is vital if we want to stay up.
Having a quick look with AI it mentioned players like Hojbjerg, Van de beek, Amrabat, Partey, Gundogan, Fabinho, Neves. Probably all out of our reach but you never know with our owner..
It's the one position we've been crying out for for years too, a proper defensive midfielder...
I know he is 39, but Jamie Vardy anyone? Not taking up extra year on contract in Italy.
Injured for 3 or so months this season
But got 1 start and sporadic apps off the bench for getafe
They wont buy him
I imagine we sell or loan again
I think Serg spoke of Pace and Power in his interview immediately after the win on Saturday. We need power and athleticism in midfield in addition to technical ability. Look at that Stach who signed for Leeds last summer or Diarra, Sidiki and Xhaka for Sunderland.
Reality is we are miles off that level and need 7 or 8 who are 6ft 7, built like brick outhouses and can run like Usain Bolt at his bestGoing back to the FA game with Chelsea. I thought the gulf was extraordinary. At the time I said, how could we ever compete with that week in week out with our current squad? Stronger, taller, more agile, more athletic, fitter. How do we close that gap without wholesale changes?
Personally I think Pandur is very solid and can be good enough for the PL, with the right preparationKeeper wise i know many were impressed with that keeper at Wednesday but is he good enough for the Prem ?

If we wanted to kickstart our business for the summer, this would certainly be the way to go about itYou must log in or register to see media
Nah, it'd be massive for his career, playing with and learning from one of the most accomplished players in his positionim sure that will do Giles confidence the world of good....

There seems to be a weird obsession with signing former players, I've seen loads of fans banging on about resigning Robertson and Bowen, despite both being on £160k a week. We're not going to be signing players at that level, or anywhere close to it.You must log in or register to see media

Robertson may have to settle for less, but Bowen definitely doesn't, he's contracted to the summer of 2030.You're not on £160k a week if nobody's prepared to pay it to you anymore
But granted, it may be a stretch...
Can't see us getting Bowen, he will go higher up the leagueRobertson may have to settle for less, but Bowen definitely doesn't, he's contracted to the summer of 2030.
