What would be your suggestion?

The options look like:

1. Take this deal for Charly and spend it on other players

2. Keep Charly knowing that the manager doesn’t like him/trust him and not sign anyone else unless we can sell some other players which don’t look like leaving at this point in time

I’d suggest the most worrying thing about the deal for this sort of fee is that we allegedly should be looking at around £25m for ABK and Onuachu combined, the fact we took this deal for Charly suggests neither of them are close to leaving

The fact that he is going back to South America suggests to me that he is desperate to go home. I’d rather he went if is isn’t going to settle here. The monetary loss is nothing compared to the 80 million we have wasted on Carillo, Osvaldo etc over the last few years.

Here’s my take on DI. He messed about with his departure and clearly thought elsewhere would further his career, well that went well? We shouldn’t be wasting time on him is my view, let’s find someone who really wants our shirt.

Did he mess about with his departure? I don't recall that at all.
