Losing Che does leave us with a lot to do up front though. Yes I would have wanted a new starting striker even if Che was still here, but he was our best striker in our relegation season and our best striker last season. He would have been a good backup striker for a side battling relegation. It leaves us with Stewart as backup and who knows if his body will stay together long enough to make an appearance, let alone the fact that he’s not even proven in the Championship. Mara, I was hoping we would be selling or loaning anyway. If we bring in 2 strikers then fair enough, but that’s a big ask, especially given the amount of business that we still need to do.

Makes sense, like Lis if he’s cheap we can give him a platform at Goztepe then sell him for a profit a couple of years down the line.
Speaking of the multi club model, Valenciennes got relegated last season from Ligue 2. Thought they would be more active in our plan of signing players not good enough for us, but can help them and see if they get good enough for us/sell for profit. Probably too low down in the French pyramid now for that

Think it will be a bit of a waiting game for some of them and seeing if we can move anyone on
Fraser hasn’t been announced yet so I’d imagine he should be pretty soon, unless the club has seen sense and not signed him
I just think he will fall into the “be a fringe player at PL level” of which we have a lot of those types of players. Rather try and sign someone who could be a big improvement in that area.
I don’t think we will and think Fraser is a done deal, but is odd that it’s taken so long to announce

I’d add DM to that list too unless that was CM in your list. We got destroyed at Championship level without Downes, dread to think what would happen if we play Smallbone in the Downes role in the PL. We’ve suffered for only having one proper DM for years and years. We might need to play two DMs in the PL, let alone rotation/bringing an extra one on late in games/when Downes forgets to cook his chicken again. I don’t think we will bring another in, but we really should imo.
