I've mentioned on here previously that I liked the look at Patterson at Sunderland last season.

Is he good enough for the PL? I don't know.

If there's the opportunity to get a more known quantity, I would prefer that. But otherwise we could do a lot worse than Patterson.

Yeah, given our issues were more of a defensive nature last season, then a new CB and possibly the Sunderland (or another) GK too for Charly would be ok with me, because I feel he will move on anyway this Summer.

SFC are in advanced talks with Burnley to bring back Nathan Redmond.

Redmond will replace Sulemana who is being moved on - a club in France has put in a bid for him. Club see Redmond as good value as part of the transfer profile strategy that they are employing this summer - experienced voice in the dressing room to help the younger players, still well-respected by the coaching staff and in the last year of his contract at his current club.

Discussing 2 year contract. £2m fee, wages around £45-£50k per week. Talks well-advanced. Both clubs keen, just need player to agree personal terms. Hoping to have it concluded in time for player to take part in pre-season from 18th July.

If Terry Paine wants another season let’s give him a contract v Redmond! That’s the likelihood of this rumour happening.

I know it’s not Saints rumour related, but if it’s weird that Liverpool are getting these odd fees… have a look at the ridiculous rule avoiding fees between Chelsea, Villa and Everton for their bit-part/academy players… utter madness and the EPL need to throw the book at them all….!!

Yeah I was reading something about that earlier. I find it quite funny tbh.

Some of the players moving are very highly regarded I believe. Iroegbunam is for sure, and Kellyman. Not so sure about Lewis Dobbin

Chelsea have some history with Villa when they bought Chukwuemeka for a large fee

But Kellyman for £20 million with only 150 minutes of professional football under his belt… smells fishy at best… especially when all the clubs involved are the ones at risk of falling foul of the rules….

Just read the translated article, reckons Saints and AZ have been speaking for a little while over the fee. AZ have already brought in a replacement and Sagawara only has one year left on his contract before he becomes a free agent

He’s a decent player. Could be we’re about to cash in on KWP?
