I love JWP (and will give him a round of applause when he is at SMS next) but £100k+ a week contract, turns 30 next season... time to move on.
I’ll have a word with him. Reckon we can get him down to 80k on the promise that we will win 10 free kicks 24yds out.

Yeah no thanks to JWP. Hugely overrated and no where near worth what he'd cost.
I'd probably take him back but if it was a choice between him and Downes it's Downes every day of the week.
