Actually how do we know that Einsteins equation is correct, it is easy to use the equation to come up with a certain amount of energy in a given mass. As far as nuclear fusion is concerned only a small amount of mass is converted to energy so how do we know if the equation does show the total amount of energy in the mass?

Numbers are a concept made up by humans. Well use your sums and the equation to show the exact amount of energy in 1 gram of iron. The sum does not show it to be correct that has to be done by experiment as per the rules of science and this cannot be done as we cannot convert mass into 100% energy, that is my point we cannot actually prove it.
