Interesting discussion by Cov fans and I noticed this. They’ve been playing with a midfield three this season and don’t really play with a #10 anymore and this guy said Palmer can’t really play as an #8. We don’t really play with a #10 anymore either, which makes us signing Palmer all the more confusing.

Palmer’s always struck me as one of those mercurial, stereotypically-lazy attacking midfielders who doesn’t do much running but can pop up with a moment of brilliance. Quite similar to Koren. I’m just not sure where he fits in.

I haven't seen him a great deal but whenever I have he seems to get on the ball a lot and shows plenty of strength which we do lack at that end of the pitch. Maybe I've just caught him at good moments because I see the general consensus amongst Cov fans seems to be he's amazing every 1 in 8 games roughly.

Oscar Zambrano latest
City are understood to remain in talks with the South American authorities about the situation involving Oscar Zambrano and his potential ban following the alleged doping breach. The worst-case scenario is that he would get a two-year ban should he be found guilty. As it stands, nothing has been confirmed in an official capacity.

In quotes attributed to Julio Alvarez, director of Ecuador's Liga de Quito, he's said: "We have not had a statement about it (Óscar Zambrano's 2-year ban for doping). He is now with Hull City and we hope it goes well for him."

A reminder that speaking earlier this month, Acun Ilicali said they backed Zambrano and believed his case and that the club were protected whatever the outcome of the investigation was. Should a ban be forthcoming, it's our understanding the club will stand by the youngster.
Well we’re paying for one South American to do **** all we may as well pay two

We can still sign free agents after deadline right, or is that rule changed too? I can't follow these days.

Baz mentioned it earlier in an update but never specified it. Last year he did a deadline day review sort of thing and dropped names etc so I’m sure we’ll find out eventually.

Yeh I just found the comment... "And there's something else that may be being worked on - not a striker. Waiting to see how that one develops this afternoon."
