We have the option to buy him and if by some small chance he is banned, his club have agreed that he can be released from his contract and City don't have to pay him anything in compensation.

Of course, if we're sneaky, we could have him train with us, have Acun lend him a few grand to live on and then sign him on a free transfer after his ban.

I won't be surprised if that is already in Acun's mind. We wouldn't have had a chance of signing him otherwise, so as long as any ban is not too long, then it would make sense.

With those 3 signings, things look a lot better, Mason a bit of an unknown quantity, but like Delap often strikers just need to be in a system that suits them, hopefully that will be with TW.

Both Hughes and Zambrano look quality signings, from what I have seen of Hughes and what Wigan fans are saying he looks ideal. Zambrano is clearly talented and hopefully can flourish and be a big asset.

In all seriousness, anyone got any good guesses who the mystery striker is? (who will “change the dynamic”)

I imagine it is a bigger name than we are expecting but also someone who has the legs to chase down and last more than an hour.

We're still quite short in a number of areas and have players that either aren't up to it or have question marks over them a few positions too.

I really like the recruitment as a whole (it's been too slow) but they've done well and I think we're building a side which should be upper-mid-table, which considering the players are ours (minus Burns) is a major step forward.
Agree with both paragraphs. Just to add that the 'recruitment out' has also been good tbf, including a needed clearing of the decks for the needed rebuild and righting of / learning from past mistakes it seems.
As you say, quite a bit more still needed though.

Is yours?

Don't pop up having a go when the receipts are easy to find.

Why can't we just be happy signings have been made instead of your first instinct be to try to get one up on people?

Syd I mean this in the nicest possible way, but **** off, you said the other week you were going to stop engaging with me, please I beg of you, stick to your word and whilst you've ****ed off, try and get some self awareness of just how much of a ****er you actually are.

The funniest part is, I knew full well when I came on this morning, you'd of quoted those exact posts of mine, it's pathetically laughable how predictable you are

This post works really well when read in the voice of a schoolgirl.

Zambrano been a loan makes it even more strange

Just a side note for the mods...I come on here for a bit of news, gossip, tactical lessons and some great banter. It cheers me up. But as a man who suffers from anxiety and depression at times . This site Is becoming as negative and argumentative as X. Sometimes it's hard to read through. And it's always the same people. Have a word please. Or start a miserable fcuker thread.

Yeah, it ain't that pleasant on here ATM. Hopefully it's just because we've been between seasons. It would be much better if people could be a bit nicer to each other and not be so keen to jump to insults. I imagine there are a few of us who disengage as a result.

I have found myself replying to people too and losing my rag. So I too can relate but hopefully I don't do it too often.

Looking forward to the new Govt introducing the crimes of ‘moaning on and on about the same ****ing thing’ and ‘dragging up old quotes to make a pathetic point’ so some of these ****s can spend a few years at His Majesties pleasure!
Hope your anxiety and depression isn’t too bad at the moment. I assume you glance at Mental Health thread too :emoticon-0148-yes:

*Tough for the mods to deal with mind you
