I'm impressed by your knowledge of what goes on behind closed doors. I agree it must have bene a bolt from the blue when Philogene and Greaves were sold.

If you are so ITK, have you considered setting up a private mailing list?

It's not even about been ITK anyway. It's about seeing through the PR BS and forging my own opinion through lack of any serious attempt to bring anybody in.

Do we know Asante was a serious attempt? West Brom never said they received a bid from us or made anything Official. Only Coventry had anything official. See through the BS we're lead to believe.

The only time I'll believe anything is when the club says we've signed a player and they're pictured with our shirt.

Rest PR BS with little substance

I read a story recently, an ex pro footballer who retired recently & is working as a brick layer on building sites, he says he was bored & missed the boys banter.
I think he played for Leicester & may have won the prem league title with them (not sure on the last bit)

Edit - found it. Danny Drinkwater

Dunno if he was bored. He got done for drink driving and no club wanted to touch him at the wages he expected after his Chelsea contract. Still, saves a bit of face this way.

Read this the other day, love a grafter. There was a young lad at Wimbledon who was often getting in the first team whilst I was based there. His dad was a roofer and he would work in the yard loading vans and helping with paperwork on his days off. The club stopped him actually going on a roof because of injury risk. He didnt do it for money he just liked to be busy apparently.

What a load of tripe.

I live in Sheffield and in good traffic it's an hour and 20 to the ground, bad traffic, can take nearer 2 hours. Where the footballers live in West Sheffield, it's about 5 mins to the new Sheffield U training ground in Dore.
It could take more than that to get to the ground from cottingham especially on a night game. On Tuesday the 'football special' bus from Tickton to the ground never ****ing turned up at all! As for players, if the moneys right the location means the player paying their chauffer a couple of quid more. Obviously our money isnt right.

Moore and Asante accepted our offers before someone else came in and gave them a local option they preferred, so the wages were clearly right in those cases.

Is it the same guy who went from Lester to Chelsea and played about 1.5 games in three seasons?
