I know you don't know, and I'm not expecting you to have the answer, it was a rhetorical question. My point being ever since Acun took over transfers have positively dragged for days, or weeks. Sometimes it's been worth it, sometimes it's led to other clubs swooping in and sorting deals out much quicker than us. It just seems very weird.

So, if I don't know and you don't know. Why bother presenting a timeline to measure it. To get a true sense if you are right, you'd need to look at larger sample size - can you be arsed? Even then, it would be peppered with variables (as the nature of transfers and timings is murky).

If you want a down the pub type of answer based on selected cases using a selective memory, then that's up to you.

But, I still don't see how you can truly claim this transfer is held up.

Every transfer we've made has been way slower in completion than most of our transfers out.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. We have a competitive fixture in 9 days and have made one signing. I'm criticising the pace of making signings. You don't need to know why it's going slowly to criticise it going slowly.

How can I claim that Marvin's transfer is held up? Gee I dunno, the fact that it was reported as done two days ago and he was pictured at the stadium?

Are you genuinely saying if we were linked to Marvin on Deadline Day there'd be no point because it'd take 2 weeks to do? Or do you reckon we'd find a way to get it done within 24 hours?

The fixture date is irrelevant here.

My question to you was: how do you know that transfer is held up?

You don't know. I don't know.

Not man u but man city got booed of the pitch at half time, it sparked an outburst from pep. They went on to win by the way. It happens at all clubs.
I take my daughter to Man City too and it is often dull as dishwater due to all the tourists but the proper Manc fans do tend to get behind them in bursts. I think they have got an ego now and expect to steamroller everyone. Their support is also pretty crap at times you're right.

It's not irrelevant FFS it's the entire point.

I have no idea what you're trying to argue here but it seems to have entirely missed the point.

We KNOW that BTA was coming here until he wasn't. We know he's booked into a medical at Cov. We know he's agreed terms with them.

Compare with us with any number of deals..

I was using Marvin as an example of a player reported as a done deal which is going to end up taking 2-3 days to announce.

How can you not acknowledge that our deals take longer than others? We're not talking about the point they start at, we're talking about from the point at which it's announced in the press, which is usually an indication the transfer is all but done.

Let's see when Cov announce BTA..

I know by how long Giles took. How long Drameh took.

How quick Lokilo, Tufan, Greaves, Allsopp and Ingram were out. They were out way way quicker than we brought in Giles and Drameh

How do you know? When did the Giles deal exactly start, and when did it end.

And even if you did, does this mean every transfer is the same?

Man United fans have certainly booed their team off the pitch, I have no idea what Jim is on about but I guess he wasn't there when they got tonked by Brighton or Bournemouth last season.
I wasn't but I'm pretty sure they didn't boo them either time. Maybe the Glazers but not the players.

Coventry have been speaking to Thomas-Asante for three or four weeks now.

Lokilo. The bid came in. Was accepted the same day. Had medical next day and signed that day. 2 days!

Drameh. Was spoken about for weeks. He was definitely the right back that was coming since before the window opened.

I think we're just going around in circles here and probably boring everyone.

Do you live in the Manchester / Cheshire area Jim? That’s a lot of miles if you are based in east Yorks area

And like most things you were travelling up the wrong road. The house and road is in Leven and is still there teddy bears an all.
I was just thinking that it’s Leven you ****ing gobshit , not you, I mean the bv2 nobrash. The reason for the teddies I heard was there was a tragedy in that House, my daughter lived there for a few years until she moved to Spain. Told me about the story, I won’t repeat it, it’s not for conversational purposes.

Yes, and from the time they have had a bid accepted to the point he has signed is what we're talking about. We've been talking to Hughes for weeks now, that's not what I'm talking about.
