In the defence of Rosenior it was clear Xav Simons needed some time to adjust to mens football. He was, and still is, highly rated by Chelsea staff but he looked a little behind the pace in his early games. The loan to fleetwood looks to have matured him and I like what I am seeing now. TLT is a weird one as he was well thought of by Donny and I expected him to be our number 2 this year behind the Panda. Talk of another keeper might seem him shipped out again, perhaps to a division higher.

Furlong looks way off, surely he is going out for a year to League 2.

Not really, Simons only played 12 times and was injured for most of the year, so the loan was pointless. But we kept Doch & Traore around, both will be on more and barely played them. We should've given their minutes to Simons.

TLT being the no.2 would be a complete waste, he needs to be playing and as a keeper that's very tough, so a loan is the best thing for him.

• Another midfielder being looked at from South America
• Work to do on Hughes, but believe we can sign him this week
• Millar and McAteer ongoing
• Stansfield maybe someone we look to loan towards end of window
• Gut feeling is Seri goes
• Still thinks Giles goes. Says there’s a willingness from both clubs, but City don’t want the negative PR right now
• The only Fenerbahce link with any credibility is Crespo

Selling Giles for what is likely a loss after 2 months is the only disappointment imo. Although if he doesn’t fit the system as a left back, I’d take the money over playing him out of position on the wing

Giles is a strange one. "Willingness from both clubs"!! So the 'brains team's sign him. He doesn't get used to his strengths )or at all). We get a manager who has a style that suits him. He looks happy enough, well liked in the squad, and imo is showing more like what he's about. Odd?
