It’s annoying because we have developed him from a youngster and gave him the time on the pitch, he’s going to go to Ipswich for a year and they’re going to make 2-3x the amount off him that we have.

Such is life.
We did the same with Bowen

They might but it doesn’t make it any more bearable. Commuting 120+ miles daily around the uk is ****, too much traffic. Maybe if we were Manu or Liverpool and doubling his pay he’d put up with it but we’re not.

Living in London it takes me 30 mins to get to the end of my street in rush hour. He’s gone to SU for the mula nowt wrong with that.

Interesting point regarding the Philogene deal. I saw Sky Sports report that he signed a pre-contract with them as part of our deal last year. Meaning if Villa triggered their clause to buy him back, Philogene has no choice but to sign for them, even if he wanted to sign for Ipswich or Barcelona.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.. just thought it was interesting.

Its in the past now and we will likely never know the ins and outs of both deals.. (and why should we).. I just hope that Acun is still on the bus so to speak...

I hope that we sign decent replacements. It seems in the past when we've sold a player for a good amount of money we've spent a fraction of it on their replacement.

What’s with all the panic and negativity.

Complain on 1st September if the eight or nine quality players that have been promised haven’t arrived. I’d be surprised if we are not in the 12 or 13 player arrival.

we don’t need them to arrive now.
Would you rather have the ****e that no one else wants that’s available or wait until the best players become available later in the window.

Yes I had pointed this out as one of the things that held the deal up so long. Archer was the same.

Hey up mate, you've got some boot polish on your chin.

Is the lad (celi) in South America no closer to arriving ?

He’s at the top club in Peru. But never plays bar the off sub appearance for 4/5 minutes.

Hes quite highly rated over there. But why they sent him to the Man City of Peru I have no idea.
