The same problem still applies though. How patient will we be when there's a game where the opposition defend successfully and we're shut out? A game like that is never going to be entertaining or look like we're playing great football. So presumably we'll be turning on him whenever that happens, and Acun will lose patience if it happens too much. Realistically, if we're finishing lower than this season then it's probably going to happen more often than this season.
Not setting up in a way that makes sitting deep such an easy go to helps. Not many did it to Ipswich or Norwich or WBA

Maybe PLT, but what we do know is even though Acun wasn't happy with Liam's style, he backed him heavily and gave him 18 months to improve. Also the fans turned up every game to support Liam and the players even though some/most didnt fully enjoy his style. That doesnt tell me that the new guy will be turned on by Acun or the fans whenever he has the odd bad game.

Pick any top team from around the world, they all lose games, sometimes against teams they should be battering... it happens.. But the fans know they're one offs... Liams cautious brand of football and poor home results were not one offs... which is what ultimately cost him his job.

It's just a bit daft. Points on the board is what you need and if I'm honest I'm not too bothered about a style of football. I'd rather play unattractive football and go up than play exciting football and be mid table.
You mean a bit like say Stoke did for 10 years in the PL? Not for me.
So if City play unattractive football why would people turn up to watch them?

I think we all go to football for different reasons, Id prefer to be entertained in a stadium where the crowd is rocking, but never go up. Im sure we'd both agree to have both promotion and great football though? Which is what Acun is trying to bring.

Let’s not waste time on Sinik. Just get rid. Waste of a training shirt.

Is he?

One manager clearly didn’t fancy him. We have no idea how good he could be for us, none of us know why he was kept out of the first team picture. He could be our best player next season and score 20 goals. With a new manager coming in he’s a total wildcard.

Complete rubbish he will be injured within 3 days of Pre Season if kit before.

Sinik has one year left on his contract. We aren’t going to get a good fee for him now. May as well give him the same opportunity in pre-season as any other player by the new coach and see if he does anything. No point loaning him out again unless we absolutely need to get his wages subsidised.

Thats fair
He is our player with a contract til 2025
Itd be bonkers not to have him in the preseason

Its a fresh start

Maybe woods will impress <laugh>

Lets not start the revisionism
Sinik has shown **** all in 2 years so far

Maybe he will this summer

So you preferred the Slutsky tenure to the Bruce one?

I agree he hasn’t, I’m sure he and acun would argue he hasn’t been given a decent run

He's never shown he can handle the intensity of this level and he's been constantly injured but it's just Acun refusing to accept he's wrong.

Has he been given a decent run to prove that, not that I remember(and I maybe wrong)
How many times do we say “new player in a new country etc….

Refusing to accept he’s wrong?

He’s sanctioned loaning him out for the two seasons he’s been here, and based on that would likely sell him if a bid was made.

What’s Acun supposed to do? Buy some advertising space in the local rag and apologise for signing him?

No he hasn't. In fact, for the short period he did get some run-outs, I recollect that people were generally positive towards him. Also, his last ever appearance for us he was in a lot of people's top 3.
