The good thing is, based on the current recruitment model, if they get it right, in terms of FFP (and I'm at pains to say I still dont understand it), next season, we will only be in the market for say 4 players instead of 14..

I think one thing we’ve learnt from Acun is that we will probably swapping 10 players every year.

Lets be honest... Giles is not the player he was at Boro which prompted us to buy.... he seemed happy last season, but all his pals left and for me he's sulked all press season and into the season proper.. Acun said, if someone doesnt want to be here he can go, and I'd rather we tried to get the money back and invest in someone who is giving it 100%...

I’d go even further and say he’s been fairly pants throughout. Not the bombing down the left sort of full back I thought he was going to be.

Acun will say anything if it increases the brand value of Hull City, and personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

So, implying that we have special relationships with other big football brands like Leverkusen or Roma, or implying Hull City is the best place for Premier League clubs to trust the development of their best talent and citing Philogene and Carvalho as examples of the same tactics he will use when he selling his own commercial media brands.

Been having a look at Puerta - one thing has stood out and it will divide opinion. He seems to make lots of the niggly fouls that break up play. Some will think that's exactly what we're missing and I can certainly remember a couple of games from last season where that kind of play would have prevented goal-scoring attacks and earned us a few extra points. On the other hand, you can already hear the groans from sections of the crowd.

Leverkusen clearly feel he’ll be sold in a year hence the pressure to put a bigger sell on clause in. If we get paid very well to develop a player for a year again so be it. I have very good feelings about this one…

Signing a GK on loan seems like a waste of money, waste of a loan spot & waste of the signings & the younger GK’s we already have.
If we do sign a GK on loan, then I definitely don’t want to hear anything about FFP!

Same reporter says Puerta is a done deal, by the way (almost 400k followers).

Also puts Puerta into perspective. Based on the hype, I would have assumed Puerta to be an upgrade on Morton, but hearing this that may not necessarily be the case.

He may well be
But hes a long term player

I imagine he will be very raw and drift in and out of games in the championship a lot

But will have a special first touch

Id be surprised if he is a regular starter for us in the next few months

Morton will go and play a similar role to Puerta, also he’s a completely different style of midfielder.

I don't think just because Leverkusen are trying to replace him with Morton means anything in terms of the relative quality, particularly since we're trying to get Puerta in long term so it's not necessarily his output straight away.

I also thought Morton was very good for us so if Puerta is a similar quality that's not a slight on him at all.
