I still think we have 2 strikers to bring in. I’m sure we would have been happy with Kiefer Moore, Thomas-Asante and Barlow as our 3 options.

I don’t think Oscar will be here and the top of the pitch is severely holding us up as we have very little threat from our number 9 (even decent hold up play would be nice!).

I still think Acun will wait until the last minute to try and pull something off, but we could do with another option by Millwall.

Acun's already said exactly that at the Q&A. He said he wanted to bring in 2 strikers, a loan and a permanent. Then added that if Oscar goes, we'll bring in a 3rd.

He should not have communicated that, you rely on this guy at least 4-5 matches, mentioning that he will be gone is turning him into a employee on notice period.

To add context, he said that Oscar has interest from other clubs and if he wants to go, we will bring in a replacement. Nothing wrong with that to me.

That's exactly what Acun would say!
Acun would do his best to avoid 250 plus years imprisonment, moreover even my first post was a critic to him, he should kept his mouth shut about Oscar even if he decided to send him away. We still need that guy until we find a striker, and from experience of this summer it will be late as usual.

I guess you are assuming I am on TR timezone?

Whatever, have your fun. 90% of my posts are criticizing Acun. Just check history, anyway, I won't post from now on in this thread. Enjoy relegation battle with Acun.

I thought Oscar may have been okay in Walters system early doors but he really just doesn’t do enough leading the line to warrant the overall negative he has on the team.

Movement is really poor, hold up is non existent, pressing lacks any real purpose or intensity. If we can get £2m+ we should be taking it and running

Definitely, I'd wager he's on big wages too. I'm still hoping we can pull off Stansfield but it sounds unlikely. Interesting that we haven't seen any names at all for the striker we're supposedly in talks with.

I watched the 1st half of Hamburg tonight to have a look at Meffert. The were playing a cup game against lower league opposition so take this with a fairly large pinch of salt.

He's okay/decent. He's got good size, brings a real calmness to midfield and anticipates danger well. He's solid on the ball (not a patch on Seri) but he's defensively better. The issue which stood out for me is that he lacks mobility and I think this would be a real issue. If he was on a free or cheap, I think he'd be a decent pickup but he's not the type I'd be putting £1m or Euros on the table for, especially as he'll have little resale value.

If I was being brutally honest, I think we could get better. I'm not sure he's enough of an upgrade on Simons currently and Simons can improve drastically over the next 6/12/18 months.

And I think we need 2 midfielders, one to play deeper and one that can play more advanced/box to box. If we take anyone from Hamburg, Reis was very impressive, looked a cut above.
