If these rumours are true and a sale is actually protracted (which seems likely), along with neglecting the first team, Acun may underestimate the negative press this could generate. Any bad press here but would seized upon by Fener's rivals and amplified over there too.

The Allams were largely impervious to bad press because their interests were not affected by it, but for someone like Acun, it could be very damaging.

Hopefully, these are just rumours, and if not, he does the right thing.

I like Acun and I will be gutted if he lets the city down. We have had enough of that in recent years.

Up to the last few months he has been a breath of fresh air, however it seems its all gone south following his sacking of Rosenior and then the disastrous live forum with the fans. Add to that his new position at Fenerbahçe, and the lack of incomings, it really doesn't sound good. My hope is that this is all rumour squads in full force, but things definitely don't seem right.

Anyone local who has the wealth to buy us, has had chance after chance over the years to buy us. They never have before and I doubt they ever will do

Yes. We all know some brothers with the money. But they don’t want to out themselves through the vitriol which would come their way. I can think of local owners with next to no money who have had as much success over the last 20 years, developed a state of the art training ground in that time and have sold out their season tickets every season, even in League One. But I can’t mention their name.<laugh>
A shame very wealthy brothers couldn’t show an interest in a club in the area that helped make them rich. Or the founder of Comet.

That’s the thing. There are business owners in Hull and East Yorkshire who are far wealthier than Acun but they’ve never been interested in buying City, other than Allam. Not when Allam wanted to sell the club and probably not now either.

Hopefully this is alll bollox and the club fill the current vacuum with an update and signings that prove its all bollox. They now need to as the silence is becoming deafening and the lack of activity deeply concerning.

Agreed, hopefully it's all wrong, it's put to bed quickly and we start to some positive movements in the playing squad

You'd have thought the potential of the bright lights of the premier league was something Acun just couldn't resist.

Fenner might be his team but you can't replicate that in Turkey.

These rumours will only multiply now,
and I hope it’s rubbish, but actions speak louder than words lately, we’ve missed out on multiple signings lately and it’s mainly due to the lack of willingness financially and more over enthusiasm from above.

The likelihood of us finding a decent owner with decent wealth is very unlikely, however the flippancy of Acuns past ownerships and general personality would point towards us been a shiny toy at Christmas he no longer wants. He had a go in January and it didn’t pay off and now with an interest in Fenebache and FFP he’s simply lost interest.

This is obviously a huge concern, as we’ve sold the Crown Jewels and look no further in simply replacing squad depth let alone quality.

To be honest I hope the rumours do increase so we either get clarity or I hope that Acun announces it’s all rubbish. If it isn’t and he says the clubs for sale I fear another relegation on the cards, and a winding up like the season we sold Bowen and Grosicki.

Thata what january was
We didnt go up
Now its gonna cost far too much to have a promotion team
We are trying to build a team on as little as possible

If acun is fed up with us and wants to sell, why did he buy Maribor. Where do they fit in?

and why did he secure Safiport as sponsor - surely it would piss them off if he was trying to sell at same time - and why fly fans out to Turkey - surely a total waste of money if selling - personally I think it's bollocks - he's overstretched himself and as is quite often the case, everything gets done last minute

I hope so. Sales take years not months now a days….
