Sheffield to Hull is hardly far is it...One hour max, even less depending on which side of Sheff. As you point out its down to pounds-shillings-and pence, plain and simple. Blunts offered him more than us, hence a 'sudden' change of mind. I bet he was on a fair whack at Ipswich when he came in for the final promotion push. Before retirement do players really have a home? Money is a big incentive. Moore’s wife is based in Sheffield which is the reason he gave for choosing Sheffield United over us. It didn’t seem to worry him when he signed for Ipswich.
Regan Slater still lives in Sheffield and drives over to Hull every day.Sheffield to Hull is hardly far is it...One hour max, even less depending on which side of Sheff. It was an illustration of Syd's point. Nothing more. I happen to agree with him.It was in the offing for months. Even before the season ended. Everton interest didn't materialise. Nor spurs, nor west ham.
Ipswich put the best offer on the table. Villa matched it last minute for a 30% discount.
What's happened to us happened to Ipswich.
It happens.
End of story.
Bit of a difference between a four month loan period where he can stay in a hotel and a three year or four year commitment. Before retirement do players really have a home? Coventry have been speaking to Thomas-Asante for three or four weeks now.

Is this thing about getting more game time a real thing, same money or less for running around getting tired, grief from the fans when you're not as good as they think you should be and the chance of getting injured possibly career ending compared to sitting on the bench and occasionally having a game no one watches with the reserves?
Does anyone really think the young footballers today have morals?
I live in Sheffield and in good traffic it's an hour and 20 to the ground, bad traffic, can take nearer 2 hours. Where the footballers live in West Sheffield, it's about 5 mins to the new Sheffield U training ground in Dore.Sheffield to Hull is hardly far is it...One hour max, even less depending on which side of Sheff. Communication - at this point it would be good to have some comment / clarity from the owners to offset fans concerns at the ‘lack of progress ‘ apparent or not . Specifics would be dangerous so it has to be a very careful statement - reassurance is what we need .
As for fast process Asante hasn’t signed yet for Cov , maybe today but they’ve had two day FFS , what are they playing at!
Good.Tim Walter is a guest at the Senior Tigers meeting this afternoon. If he shares any info I’ll post it later.
