Because they're free transfer players, three of which are youth players. If we're counting those, then we've also signed Ramell Carter, Jagielka Jnr and that lad from Fleetwood. Willock and Chambers are just like us signing Drameh, they were out of contract and negotiations were easier.

Last season Cardiff signed five players from non English leagues, two of them from Turkey no less.

For the third time, it isn't that we CAN'T, it's that it's easier for us to buy players from abroad than to mix it in the domestic market and that might be what we need to lean more into to get what we need.
It’s immaterial if they’re free they’re good signings
You seem to be trying to waffle your way out of something and I’ve no idea what

I would not be surprised if he doesn't like it here. The crap he got last time he was in the team on a regular basis was disgusting. I even heard someone in E10 suggesting he was crap because he was Gay! The poor kid looked shot to pieces and must have been pig sick of being the fall guy.

He went on loan, fresh start, and did ok. I imagine he is currently wondering what his future holds but perhaps if we try the novel idea of supporting him and the other lads on the pitch he will feel happier, perform better and stick around!
Was it someone off here? <whistle>

He’s saying clubs are more active when it comes to hijacking deals we are currently making. Had Baz never said it’s a done deal no one would’ve batted as much of an eye lid when it was hijacked, if he like many share the idea of, waited until he was announced to say that the uproar that’s followed would’ve been nowhere near as bad, but no for both Moore and BTA now Baz has described them as done deals only for interested clubs to swoop

What I find a bit baffling, is we seem to take an age getting players over the line, but other clubs seem to gazump us, and get the deal done in a couple of days.

Out of Tetteh, Sinik, Tufan, Pelkas, Traore, Omur and Allahyar, only Sinik has been a disaster, really. Maybe Traore, but he was a free transfer anyway.
Agreed, Tufan and Omur are/we're good signings, pelkas, tetteh and ally were ok, and you could even argue that with Sinik we've never actually seen him have an injury free run. Personally I liked Traore and if wages had been more sensible would have happily kept him.

It's not out of anything, you misinterpreted what I said and then when I explained it you still didn't get it.

How good they are doesn't impact how easy it is to negotiate with them. Calum Chambers has played 36 games in three seasons for Villa, not even a whole PL season's worth of football across three years, so he signed on reputation. He's a great player, but there's a reason he's gone to Cardiff and not a Sheff U or even Burnley or Leeds. Willock I imagine was offered a decent wedge to go, we were interested in him but I would hazard a guess we wouldn't pay what others could offer.

While it's preferable to sign domestic players who are already adapted to the rigours of the Championship, it might be the case that we'll fare better casting our net wider than the EFL for signings.

I think we'll sign a few domestic players, I just have the opinion we'd have more success getting quality in from abroad.

Who's not supporting them Jim?

Thought Tetteh was disappointing overall, and Pelkas flattered to deceive. I expected us to sign a few German players I'd never heard of this window - what with Walter being such a highly regarded German coach :emoticon-0112-wonde

I clearly said I don't know and that I hope not. Speculative so not an assumption and what do you mean - again!?
Because time and again people on this forum speculate almost totally negatively or imaging scenarios that ‘may’ be happening . The problem is if these ‘tales’ are posted often enough the greater majority believe it as truth - like t’internet tales . It’s not a pop at you but if negative guesses become common , they soon become fact . You may be right - or wrong
