I don’t think McCormick deserved to continue playing football after serving his time. Does that mean I think he shouldn’t deserve a second chance in general? No, but I don’t think that second chance should’ve been as a professional footballer.

In our profession, we’re not covered under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. If we commit a serious offence, we’re struck off from teaching for life. Why should footballers be allowed a second chance of such a privileged career?

Because football is a sport and teaching isn't. The degree of responsibility is massively different within education, so if we **** up it costs us, the victims and the community far more, the impact is much further reaching. Footballers don't have anything tangible riding on the outcome of their actions save for sport, which is a leisure activity. I mean if at 19 you're being paid over £5m a year, you could retire the next and just live comfortably, **** up or not.

Great. Then our salaries should be swapped then. Until they are swapped, I think footballers should be banned from the professional game for life after committing a serious offence. And for the ones who weren’t convicted but substantial evidence exists of them being pieces of ****, I would hope the court of public opinion prevails and clubs wouldn’t touch them with a ten foot pole.

Apparently, fixtures are out on Tuesday...Seems a bit early to me.....unless these are the PL fixtures.

EDIT.....Just checked City's fixtures are out on 26th June at 9am.

The court of public opinion in a cultural industry will always affect a players value/career.

But the punitive element of a sentence is defined by a court and always should be.

Talking rubbish to fill space then with a click bait headline

He will have a quota to fill everyday, so he will rehash **** up just to fill a few column inches or webpage.

It is going to be very quiet for a while, as I expect our signings to be completed once the new FFP window or whatever it is called in the EFL opens on 1st July.

What's this golden opportunity....I tried reading it but as per usual it's almost impossible due to how absolutely ****e their website is

Basically an article about nothing. The "golden opportunity" is the fact we have a thin squad so the new gaffer can put his stamp on the squad immediately.
