Just watched the highlights - same suicidal tendencies in defense that have plagued us for the last few seasons. That will cost us again this season - we have to work hard to score goals but gift goals to the opposition.
Looks like a good result until you see the howlers! Still, do it now and get it out of our system completely before the season starts We seem to have made some good acquisitions but I'm not getting ahead of myself. Fingers crossed.
Word in Plough this afternoon is that Rushworth is definitely back and we have signed a winger. I can't find any confirmation of this. Anybody?
Apparently Brighton have decided Rushworth is being loaned to a Championship club. Rumours are we are in competition with Blackburn and Sheffield Utd
Sheffield United have just signed Cooper from Plymouth so that puts them out of the chase for Rushworth.
Swansea City have signed Olympiakos’ England Under-20s international centre-back Nelson Abbey on loan for the rest of the season. Abbey, 20, left Reading to join Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee in January, when the Royals needed funds due to their financial problems. But the Reading-born player has now been allowed to join Swansea with Olympiakos keen for him to play Championship football. “I think his signing makes us a stronger squad," said Swansea head coach Luke Williams. “He has key performance data that we really like in terms of being able to recover the groundbehind him, because we are often very high up the pitch.”
We’ve all seen him play previously - he was the replacement goalkeeper for Bradford in the League Cup Final when we beat them 5-0
