Plus a clear vision on tactics. Got lost in translation with Lamouchi a few times.

Bradley Dack anyone? Dodgy knees historically but a real class act as a No.10 playing just behind the strikers - something we sorely lack

Leaving Blackburn so available as free agent.

James Milner, Fermino, Lucas Moura and Morelos are all free transfers now so I expect them to arrive soon after the new manager.

Age 29 so 2 or 3 good years left if he can stay fit. Been a good goal threat until recently.

I would take him as a free if we can get some fitness assurances. We don't want another Tomlin on that front.

However we probably need a new manager first....

Spot on BFB - he’s too much of a sicknote risk albeit a very capable player

We've had enough sicknotes over the last 5 seasons.

Dack has done both ACL's which has kept him out of the game for two lengthy periods, other than that very little - hardly a sicknote. On that basis you could call Ebou Adams and Jamilu Collins sicknotes for this season just finished.

Tomlin was a different kettle of fish - undoubted talent but he was never dedicated to the sport and his failings where of his own making - unlike Dack.

Get your point but I regret that 2 ACL’s and 2 lengthy periods out of the game at his age is not likely to encourage a club to offer him much. Hope I’m proved wrong as I reiterate he’s a quality player.

Well as we can't buy anyone ATM, then "not offering him much" would suit us down to the ground.

Quality player who operates in a position on the pitch that we've sorely lacked for years.

Some club will I’m sure offer him a deal eg Preston or some club more local possibly?

Although up at Blackburn for a few years, Dack is a southern boy. Can't see why he chose to play for another Lancashire outfit rather than someone down here. I'd have thought a nice house in the Vale would be more attractive than Coronation Street. City can offer some of the best footballing facilities and living locations in the country, so why not?

Whilst I'm in the mood, on the subject of facilities and location, this is all we've got to offer and it's the situation we've got ourselves into through no fault of the fan base. It all stems from ownership decisions and we have to deal with it. We still exist as a club because of Tan, but we're also in the **** as a footballing outfit because of him as well.

Wake up Vince. As wealthy as you personally are means nothing at a football club unless you put your trust in expertise at the game, not a financial services chairman, an accountant and a string of lawyers relentlessly pursuing causes which adversely affect this club on the pitch.

    Well said Sparkey. <applause>

We can only hope that there is no dithering on the appointment of our next manager and that a strong, realistic option is taken not the cheap as chips in house or ex-inhouse one. <yikes>

With Southampton appearing to have moved beyond "tits outside" with Martin and moving on to the fingering stage there is a very real danger that the Jacks will go for a first night, pub carpark shag with Nathan Jones. We will be left like a ginger, bespectacled nerd left on the dance floor wall at the end of term dance.

There appears to be other good options for us but VT needs to nail down Jones as the right choice for the reasons stated on the Lamouchi thread.

Looks like Martin nailed on for the Scummers.

Come on VT pull your bloody finger out and get Jones before the JB's do.

Hardly a sparkling prospect. Probably about our level though.

Also how can we consider anyone until the new manager, his style and tactics are known?

WoL article today from the "revered" Glen.

"Cardiff City plough ahead with summer transfer plan despite lack of manager"

No sh1te Sherlock. I normally put up the link to these articles but see no point today. Glen took 2,000 plus words to tell us nearly no more than we already know.

The only bit I could see that is new is about a 20 year old Palace striker, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. No, I've not heard of him before either but he scored 15 goals in 43 games on loan at Charlton this season. A not unreasonable number. He was Charlton's Player of the Year.

By all means go to WoL and read the article yourself - or watch some paint dry.

Also, who thinks up the names for these kids? Is there some sort of football related Scrabble game for people with dyslexia?
