Pukki is good and I would like to see him at Saints. Mee I’m not so fussed about.

Like anything it’s a balance, we have signed 1 player so far who has any notable experience of mens football, and he hasn’t played in a league anywhere close to the PL in terms of quality.

Every signing is a risk but ours are very high risk, potentially very high reward, rather than a much smaller swing you would get with the likes of Mee
I do wonder how much Norwich would want for him though as he is a known quantity for them. Not sure of his contract situation

I think a lot of people, myself included, who have called for a little more experience are looking for 1 or 2 players that have at least played a decent amount of senior football at a high level, such as Aribo.

When I say experienced, I dont mean the general sense of the word, I am talking about in comparison to the 18/19 year old youth players.

I think a lot of people are calling for a couple of signings of players around the 23-25 age bracket, that still fits our business model, but also have a greater chance of being able to come straight in and hit the ground running. Not that youngsters can't do this (Tino), just that it is more challenging.
This is fair enough. There seems to be a range of definitions people use for it - hence the Ben Mee example who doesn’t really fit your definition but fits others

City have just signed a striker who is the next big thing who is only a few years old older than Delap as well as the argentine. They then also play with a false 9 regularly in the form of Foden or sometimes others

So I wonder what Delap thinks about this. I guess we have bid hoping that he will ask for a permanent transfer with a buy back like the others? He might not of course but I don’t see where he fits in. Pep doesn’t play traditional strikers. I remember he tried to drum Aguero out in his only years only to be forced to admit how stupid that was (never openly of course). Haaland is an exception and if that fails to work I can’t see him suddenly turning to Delap. Especially if that fails as it would be, in Pep’s mind, an ultimate vindication of his apparent view on strikers. That said, he won’t be there forever and I assume potential replacements will use strikers

I’ve wondered this before but WTF is wrong with most of the people who reply to Fab’s tweets?

They basically ignore the topic of the tweet and scream about “big club” news

Most of the replies to this one are about Kounde (and who isn’t exactly the most exciting transfer rumour out there. So they are either mostly Chelsea fans, Barca fans or people who hate Chelsea and want to see them lose out on players. Or a mix. But it is weird. He tweeted about Kounde yesterday! So why spam his unrelated tweets about it. I guess the answer is “it is Twitter”.

Twatters on twitter, they do get bitter.

I like Pukki and he works hard, but he doesn’t score a lot which is what we need in a striker

He could be our new Shaney

Pukki has 8 non penalty goals in 37 games. Adams had 7 in 30. I use non penalty goals as he would be unlikely to take them here.

There are rumblings linking Kane to Bayern. I wonder who Spurs would look to for a replacement should that happen? Not that it seems very likely
