We’ve been sending that message for quite a while then?

As always with a team like Saints if the money is right then any player will go. The question is what the magic number is and whether Everton would pay that. There are also other factors such as if KWP would really push for the move which we don’t know

I meant by the new owners.

The club have apparently given Adam Armstrong the green light to go out on loan. Seems an odd decision to me.

Update - thought as much

Ooohhhh…that’s a really interesting one. I would actually take that deal if we were offered around £18-20m (that proposed Leeds loan was rumoured to have an option at £20m). I think it would give us budget and space to get a creative replacement.

You want to sell our only striker? Lol

<laugh> I wouldn’t even do that on Football Manager.

Che is one to keep for me. I really like him
I like him but if we’re looking for a physical, hardworking forward who doesn’t have a tremendous goal output, then there are likely going to be options for significantly below £20m. I don’t think it’s calamitous if he does move on.

I'd run around in the opposition penalty area for half that amount (tbh, I'd be overpriced at £10, never mind £10 million). I may need to subbed off after 15 - 20 mins, but isn't that the whole point of five substitutes being available?

Is it just me or does 17m seem steep compared to Bazunu and Lavia? Perhaps City really do seem him stepping into Walker’s position soon. Or maybe it is a guess based on what they paid for Williams ?

Would be nice to at least negotiate an option to buy - the player would still need to agree

Interesting what impact this has further up the pitch as given the prospective fees I would have expected the loan slots to be used on a 10 and a striker since we really need two of each

I guess there must be permanent options out there.

Also the right back loan makes sense given the reason for it

edit: the replies to Fab’s tweets are almost unbearable. Usually at least half have nothing to do with what he tweets

You’d get a big cheer from the old guys at the stadium when you came on

They’d all think you were David Armstrong

The link to the city right back on loan is interesting because it suggests either that we are not in for Delap or that we are looking at a permanent deal

On the latter I do slightly shudder at how much the fee would be given strikers cost more and Lavia was 10-11m initially
