Wasn’t this meant to be a wind up from another fan?

The first source I could find (and who was getting credited thereafter by journos) was a Dutch Manchester City fan with a week-old Twitter account. Score one for dubious Twitter ITKs!

I can find absolutely nothing on him apart from he was first choice in his team last season. Maybe he was really good? I have no idea and don’t know anything about Turkish football.

Is this good? I mean yeah but goalkeepers are weird so who knows.

71% save percentage in a relegated team...

I just realised I actually meant Black Box - Ride on time ( though “no no no no no no no, there’s no lyrics” is pretty crap).

Ride on Time completely changed all that had gone before in the 1980s and to me heralded the beginning of the 90s dance scene. Heather Small though did go on to be successful with M People though as she searched for the hero inside herself.

90s dance music was awesome. Professional widow, josh winks, rui da silva, arman van holden, Pete tong and Norman Jay to name just a few, not to mention the birth of brit pop with blur, pulp, stone roses, elastica, cardigans (Swedish I know)...

Haha, I have no idea why we’ve gone for him. It’s an unusual choice, that’s for sure!

It's definitely odd. I must be doing the calculations incorrectly, because I didn't think he had enough points for the new Work Permit calcs (gets max points for playing for a team in a Band 2 league, gets no other points). But I can't imagine that we'd be signing him if we didn't know that he'd get one, because there isn't really any wiggle room in the new system...either you have the points, or you don't.

The most-rational throughline I can imagine is that McCarthy's new contract is a hedge against Bazunu being unready, and if Bazunu is capable of taking over by next season, we'll sell McCarthy on and bring Lis over to serve as a presumably much-cheaper backup.

Can see why we let Forster go now despite his ‘heroics’ towards the end of the season.

Something definitely to be noted is that we let Fraser go, release 3 goalkeeping coaches and sign two keepers lol.

That’s what it looks like to me too. I think Lis out on loan this year and returns as reserve GK next year when the first choice picture is more resolved. McCarthy signed his contract before we were taken over and had more options so we’re stuck with him in the squad, may as well have Gav/McCarthy/Willy as the squad keepers this year and then move on at least one (Willy, but hopefully AM too) next summer. Lis is a leftfield pick but he’s certainly cheap so if they think he’s just a low cost squad option who has the right traits (good with his feet) then it’s not particularly exciting or concerning.

Except that you are not exactly advocating Lincoln’s position. Not really anyway. His prediction said only academy purchases and one mediocre signing and a final day sale of JWP. Sure the implication is “we won’t have a successful summer”. But people are mainly reacting to the hyperbole
True, but I believe he’s also reacting to the hyperbole too

Better the Lincoln you know than the SaintsWeb you don’t I say

I love a mashed up cliche :D

Might rule us out as we are not going to be loaning an 18 year old central midfielder who isn’t guaranteed to start - especially if there is no option to buy (which this sounds like there won’t be)

This might come down to the player but two years left on his contract means it isn’t quite a tino situation. But surely he’d have to be concerned about his “pathway” with Rhodri and then seemingly Phillips coming in

If they do sign Philips then they could well be open to another buy back situation.
