Realistcally this is what id like to see from my team by the end of the window for me to fix our goal scoring and squad Issues all over. Colwill in for £12/15 Million to replace the likely outward Bednerak. Tauranga loan for RCB cover aswell as cover for RB. Cornet for £17 Million. Dembele for £10 Million. Delap on loan. So thata a further £40Million spend to push us up to Roughly 80! But we can offset that by a few sells, Bednerak, Stephens?, Djenepo.
I'm sure it's pretty well known that he is in the final year of his contract, and is pretty good at scoring and things. What we offer in an environment where everyone is aware of that is playing time. Dembele would walk into our starting XI, and if his desire is to showcase his skills in the PL, a team that attacks in an aggressive (if often futile) fashion and desperately needs a goal-scoring CF isn't a bad destination. But I'll wait for confirmation that this link is real.
Indeed, Hard to not get a little carried away so far, This summer "overhaul" is going so much better than I expected thus far.
Jeez, it's all been going on back at home while I'm across the pond! Saints buying without selling anyone. Really buzzing for Spurs now!
Hilarious The hair’s definitely Clare... but the clothes? Is this a coming out of the closet photo? If it is then the clothes should clearly have stayed in the closet
Me too. But looking at the deals Spurs have pulled off, this could be one of the most difficult games of the season!!
I don't think Spurs or Saints will be starting too many of their new signings straight away in the first game. For us maybe Aribo, possibly Bazunu. EDIT: But yes, regardless it will be one of the hardest games of the season.
From the Athletics squad overview “Romeu is often a key cog in the better performances and acts as Hasenhuttl’s metronome in midfield. But when structural failings seep into the side’s play, his lack of mobility is exposed” Seems that describes a general failing in last season’s squad too A team of players who can be good when the team is playing well, but none of them capable of being the catalyst to turn a poor start into a better one Our new signings should generate improvements in the existing squad
Let’s hope you’re right. It’s often the younger players that lose confidence quicker after a run of poor form but you are right, they have the pace and energy to keep going (as was evident with Tino and KWP last season).
Not sure how much is in this rumour - unreliable source - but he would be great cover at RB & CB. I would have said sign him permanently but with the signings we’ve made so far I think a loan would be better otherwise he’ll end up in the same position as he currently is at Tottenham - too much of a fringe player
I would agree with you on Redders. A frustrating player, with confidence issues, but can set up chances for others.
Agree, at least Redders gives 100% and is adaptable to play in various positions. Would keep Redders but move Bednarek on
Thought Redmond looked best as a central number 10. He often runs out of ideas if he is stuck out on the wing, but with his quick feet and ball control, he has the ability to open up spaces in the middle when operating there. He can pick a pass too when he wants, and he has a decent enough shot on him.
All three only have a year left on their deals and it is unlikely Redmond will sign an extension on reduced terms. So if we can get a fee for him this summer then I expect we will try to do so
