Let's not forget that our third choice keeper, Day, has left. I doubt the new guy is earning more.

Must mean there are doubts about the lad who was on loan at Barry (can't remember his name) being good enough.

I can see one of our cb's leaving plus one of the fab 4 if either the guy from Crewe or Evans from Blackburn arrives.

There can’t be any such intent if our manager is satisfied with his sterile and passive central midfield options we suffered watching last season.

Agreed. All the signs (so far) would suggest we're going to go from back to front quickly again.

Our current midfield such as it is would be bypassed when going forward, and only on the pitch to stop the ball coming the other way.

Another in a long line of poorly thought out (or even desperation) striker purchases. Seems a nice guy and doesn't lack effort but clearly not equipped for the rough and tumble Championship game.

I guess it's a case of get what we can and move him on.

Is that all he's worth? Sad indictment on decisions made at the club if so ................

Sadly that's the one position that Warnock could never seem to get right when it came to signings.

In fairness, we've not really done that well in that department for a while (probably not since Dave Jones).

Zahore proved to be a bit of a flash in the pan despite going for a decent fee.
Frazier Campbell was OK.
Moore has been head and shoulders (lofty ones at that) our best striker signing since the likes of Chopra, Bothroyd and McCormack.

The list of failures is horridly long :emoticon-0120-doh:

Good deal for Glatzel if true of course.

Wintle the transfer is free but he will get a decent signing on fee.

Again if true of course.

Glatzel and Madine, that's £12M down the pan - when will we ever learn.

We were lucky to get our money back from Fulham for Bobby Reid, but probably the best part of another £10M down the swanee on Murphy.

All these players were signed by Warnock. For all the charisma and hype about him, what a financial black hole he's left behind.
