There have been a couple where a fee has been mentioned, but could just be paper talk.

The only "transfer" rumour I can recall where a fee would be involved is that 6' 9" giant from Solihull Moors. They play in the Vanarama National League and are not affliated to the EFL.

I doubt the EFL could block such a player's registration transfer because they don't have jurisdiction over National League clubs.

Saving all our cash for Bale's signing on fee after he negotiates his Madrid exit.

I mean, who wants to stay at a club that won nothing last year and who's fans have turned on you?

If we get a big fee for Moore then id expect maybe we will spend.

Mark McGuiness, 20 year old centre back from Arsenal. Republic of Ireland under 21 international.

Another big 'un at 6ft 4ins. Are we building a basketball team?

Never played first team in competitive games for the Arse but 24 appearances on loan at Ipswich last season.

Another one ftf although has played a good few games at League 1.

"Monitoring the situation" could be translated as "looking on with envy".

It would be good if the club came out with a definitive statement regarding the transfer position.
Happy with them playing their cards close to their chest regarding available funds. Dont want sellers running the price up.

Exactly.

I'm more interested in seeing us actually making an offer for a player who's under contract to another club rather than just picking over the freebees.

That will tell us a lot more than the ITK forum gurus who think they have the inside track at the club.

Strike one from the extensive list of strikers we were "looking at". Kyle Lafferty off to Cyprus on a one year deal.

Ah well, there's always next summer. <doh>
