Bit of a worry with Morrison still not fully fit and 5 games in the 2 weeks. Pack to resume his sweeper role? Yes, should keep Colin at arms length, though we know to our cost hes not averse to signing injured players. Saying that, Patterson turned out ok.
100k , 20% sell on deal done. Saying that if its Warnock 5m and 30k a week in wages on a 4 year deal.
We've turned down £500k. £1M or foxtrot oscar. He's out injured for 2 to 4 weeks anyway. Colin to have a little gamble?
Disagree. Apart from youngsters Bagan and Davies we don't have any other left sided defenders apart from Ralls who can play lb at a push. Brown can play cb, lb and left midfield. He will not be a first choice barring injuries and suspensions but useful to have in the squad. He has been offered a new contract so MM rates his presence also. However, £1m becomes a think again figure as we would need a left sided replacment - or resign Bennett?
BfB - Bennett is not coming back. It took Glen from ICWales a long time to get over Wilson not coming back. You’ve got to get over Bennett and just accept he’s gone.............
Last Saturday Bartley the Bluebird was running around in front of the Ninian Stand, quick as a flash someone shouted "You'll have to take a pay cut Joe!!!"
Vassell starting for the 23s again this afternoon. While he's still unfit / injury prone I wouldnt let Harris out on loan, which is being mooted.
Completely agree. As much as Harris may get frustrated being 3rd or even 4th choice right now I think Mick would be right to keep hold of him. As Mick has said, 1 or 2 covid cases and we could be stuffed. Plus he is a little different to what we have right now plus is young and eager to impress.
Even if only as an impact sub in the short term, running at tired legs. Like many sports, this is a squad game. The more I look at it, the more I like the squad. As always, this season in the championship will be a matathon. Yes, we could do with a creative midfielder and / or a ball playing 10, but we have a bit more in depth this season, in no small part due to the youngsters coming through.
U23 Match Report | Cardiff City 1-0 Wigan Athletic | Cardiff (cardiffcityfc.co.uk) Vassell lasted the full 90 minutes.
That's Harris out on loan then. Seriously though, Tom Davies played the full 90 so it looks like young Bagan is nailed on to start again at LWB tomorrow. Can't fault that the way he's coming on with every game.
Good for Davies continuing to get full games with U23's. He looked very lightweight v Sutton and needs to add a bit of muscle. Regular games plus weights work will help. I don't think he will get a start v Brighton next week.
