Batty is a good larker. He’d still get in my starting 11 ahead of Henriksen. Henriksen I was never his biggest fan, he can with a decent reputation and flattered to deceive most of the time. A big unit but soft as ****. Not particularly mobile or quick either.
Lopes has something about him as a footballer. I’d like to see him get more game time.

Henriksen was supposed to be the defensive midfielder, but he was as soft as **** and also just not very bloody good. Stewart fills that defensive role in this team far better than Henriksen could. Lopes looks a more attacking midfielder. Therein lies the difference. So at least try comparing apples with apples.

He wasn't, this is a common misconception. Henriksen didn't play that role in Holland, he played behind a striker or as a more attacking central midfielder. He first started to learn the defensive midfielder role when he came to this country, he even mentioned it interviews. So in theory OLM was comparing players correctly.
His last two seasons in Eredivisie he scored 12 in 28 and 7 in 22. Not bad at all...
I also always refuse to accept the truth when we only have Ehabs side of the story. We know one side of the story not both, we can't there make any judgements on what is going on. Unless you believe a pathological liar.
We should get them both in 15 minutes before kick off and give them a lie detector test. That would be worth the entrance money.
No, he played as a defensive midfielder at Rosenborg. He’s described as a box-to-box midfielder. But given the fact he’s as weak as piss and seemed to have the outright pace of a glacier, that is not a position that suits him, certainly not in English football.
There’s no room for an enigma like Henriksen in our team.

Opinions on players are entirely subjective. For me he was out of his depth in English football. Which is why in the Dutch leagues he looked a world beater, in the Championship last season he looked bang average.
Let’s not rewrite history here, wasn’t it only the final 2 games of the season once we were safe that Abel was left out of?
One thing Hendrickson could do was hit a rocket of a shot, didn’t do it near often enough. I think he should have more goals under his belt.
