McCann's being fed the same **** that Adkins was - promise of players that never materialise - I wouldn't be surprised if he ****ed off before the end of the season

Can't remember where I read it, but there's a Scottish story that says the reason there are 18 holes on a standard golf course is because there were 18 pubs close to one another when a few locals decided to use long sticks to hit a small ball around the area instead of kicking the ball.
Romantic boozer's tale no doubt ?
Rugby was invented by a local village vicar. When villagers were playing a rudimentary form of football, the vicar took to officiating the games to stop the players arguing and fighting. The village idiot kept picking the ball up and running with it, so the vicar invented rugby as a game for idiots to play.

That's probably why the rugby posts are much higher than the football goal crossbar. The idiots never managed to get a shot on goal ?

Rugby was actually invented by people stealing bread and throwing the loaves to each other to get past the police lines. The bars are higher to simulate throwing the loaves over the prison walls and are H shaped as a large help sign. Of course sometimes the police caught the culprits and grabbed them very hard by their tackle and that’s how the word tackle was used in this way. Scrum was actually just from the word scum when they all piled on top of the thief. Line out was obviously from the line up when the thief was publicly identified.

I got lambasted for being negative by a couple of people when McCann signed by suggesting he would of spoken to Nige presumably, and you’d of thought he’d of warned him off it. People misinterpreted that I was being down on us rather than on the Allams. But with Wilks choosing Barnsley over us, going to pre season summer camp with one new player when McCann was convinced we’d have three new faces, it seems like he’s starting to realise that he’s not going to be supported by the owners.

Wasn't the word "scrum" a bastardisation of the word "crumbs" which was literally all that was left of the loaf after the vicar had signaled the end of the game by throwing the village idiot into the font, thereby creating the term "early bath".

Didn't he (GMcC) say the other day that it all happened so fast that he didn't actually speak with Nige before joining? I'm sure that was what he said.
He also said how he spoke many times to him during last season (and previously), and spoken with him after he joined us (and that Nige didn't have a bad word to say about the club .... coz that's the sort of bloke he is).
I'll keep saying it, yes he will have known about the Allams (to a degree), but he's just the latest to have got taken in hook, line and sinker by the ****s.

I had little sympathy for Nige regarding the Allams, Ive got no sympathy for terry either. Nige had been around the club, area before taking the job he would have known what the Allams are like and how the club is run. The football world also know the score, Terry exactly the same and if he didn’t make the time to speak to his friend Nigel, well then he’s only got himself to blame

Assuming what most on this board think of course

I've no sympathy for McCann for taking the job without properly doing his homework. I'm envious of the money he'll be on. He surely would have had a more together group of players at Donny and the potential to attract players beyond this club under the current ownership.. Let's be honest here, we all love our club, but no player in his right mind is going to choose HCAFC to play for by choice at this moment.. It would purely and only be for wages or the fact they cant be employed elsewhere,. So did I feel sorry for McCann .... NO!!!.... he only had to come on this forum to know what to expect.
