I think you might have underestimated the level of daftness and ****witness that might befall out football club before next season ...

'The Club intends to discuss new deals with both Fraizer Campbell and David Marshall once the contractual situation with Head Coach Nigel Adkins has been finalised'.

Seems like a bit of Adkins arm-twisting to me.

Agreed.

It's not like Frazier Cambell has contributed anything to the City cause over the years.

I can't think of one goal or assist he's provided that's meant anything to me.

Hope that this is the end of his pointless career.

Weird post
He doesnt want to stay stay because we cant pay him £50,000 a month.
The poor **** because of financial issues will need to look elsewhere

Worked well before for us hasn’t it , when was the last time a first team player actually signed a new contract , they always leave and Campbell and Marshall will follow suit

No surprises in the release list then, can't see either Campbell or Marshall staying as I am sure they can get a far better deal elsewhere. They should try to keep Campbell, strikers like him are hard to find and you have to pay over the odds to get them or keep them.

This should be allowed for in the Budget, maybe you have to sacrifice one player and take on one play less than you planned to accommodate it.

Why should he stay when he is judged by others to be worth more than what City will pay him.
Except we haven't even offered to pay him anything yet it appears. As you say, why should he take a pay cut after having a great season, when other teams will have the respect to pay him more.

We should try and keep Campbell for the very obvious reason that replacing him like for like in terms of striking ability would be likely to, including transfer fee, cost more than if we’d have offered him a new contract.

Even at a reduced contract financially he might sign. At least we should have offered a reasonable one early so he has a fall back if it turned out the contractual grass isn’t greener elsewhere.

The other reason we should try and get him to stay is his general attitude and work rate. It’s first class and rubs off on other players (as opposed to the apparent current policy that work rate and attitude doesn’t get rewarded at this club...something that will also rub off on other players!)
